Dresser ChamberChamber

I'm just going to start a thread on my newest grow box build, and first real "stealth" attempt. It's just an old crappy dresser with dimensions of 3 1/2ft L x 17in W x 47in H. I plan on throwing my new cxm22 cob array in there, which should be plenty of light. About to go pick up some beer and start tearing it apart. To be continued...

Its been years since I last active on RIU and. under a different username(imlovnit247...I believe it was under an old email I no longer use haha). Your setup looks so much like my first stealth dresser. Ran 6 300w equivalent cfls plus 2 2ft 65k vertically for mixed spectrums. Weather stripping was my best friend when it came to light sealing the door.

How was the heat with all of those high wattage cfls? And what did your intake/exhaust look like if you don't mind me asking? I would totally be going all cfl in this box if it was my first one, but I'm going for that light penetration with the cobs. I've never had decent lighting before. I may try to look up your old postings! Thanks bro

Temps never for above 85. Though admittedly I didn't use a bunch of official grow gear, I pieced it all from stuff at Ace, Depot and Lowes. Had a 70cfm bathroom exhaust fan and a 45cfm computer fan for intake so I had negative pressure. I think the cfls were 68 actual Watts from Depot.

Before I had to stopped posting I had upgraded to a 150w HP'S for my last round with a jack herer autoflower. First time having a "pro" bulb haha and got tighter buds than ever but due to the auto it was an average yield

Lol nothing wrong with that man, I pretty much live at hardware stores in my free time. I'm just trying to figure out what to do about a carbon filter right now. I don't want anything outside of the dresser at all, so I need to figure out a very small carbon filter setup.

Lol I still haven't used any "pro" bro lights yet. Can't wait to fire up the cobs so I can have some real light to work with. Thanks again bro

I've been out of the loop for too long and Cob leds are a completely new aspect of the growers weaponry. My line or organic notes and pest/fungicide are almost outdated by now lmao(neem, spinosad, sulfur powder etc)

6 inch Terra Bloom inline fan mounted above the array with 6 inch ducting.
Painted flat white
(3) 2 1/2" intake holes drilled at rear floor.
I have a handmade carbon filter that I'll be attaching to the intake of the fan.
Last I'll mount the feux door
Stay tuned

Multiple part ?

What nanomater or Kelvin are you running with those leds?
And are you using your dresser as a complete grow unit or will you be vegging in a separate location or fashion?
Is your carbon filter as mentioned go to intake. Is it for odor or pest/fungi/mildew avoidance?

Personally I vegged in a rubbermaid 2 door cabinet with 65k cfl and flowered in my dresser with 27k(and some 25k's and 65k's for mixed but 3/4 in red spectrum). I had mad a 4" carbon filter for odor but dragged down air flow with the exhaust I had.

The cobs are 3500k. I'll be using it for all stages of plant development, but mostly flowering. I have another box that i can use for veg, all cfls, which is my primary grow box right now. The carbon filter I made is fastened to the intake of my exhaust fan, which is mounted above my lights, used for odor control.
