is it a problem if i have my baby in a bucket with no holes in the bottom???

im thinkin i will just water it enough for the plant to suck up and then there should be no problem right??

any advice would help :)

Well, seeing as there's no benefit to having no holes... why do it? You could do it, with carefully measured watering, but even if an oz. of water is at the bottom of the bucket for a couple days, and the bottom roots just sit in it, you will get root rot and your plant will start to die...

Ya root rot can be a huge problem. Also if you ever have a nute problem you will not be able to flush out the pot without any drainage holes. As long as the plant is still young you should be able to poke some holes along the bottom with some sharp device and be fine, good drainage is a must for healthy girls to thrive. Good luck.

i would suggest holes. especialy for someone learning. it`s a noob`s biggest mistake , wrong watering. then what are you going to do if you need to flush?

You need holes because if you dont root rot can occur and your likelyhood of having salt buildup is going to happen. Even the greatest grower could not nail the watering and feeding schedule to where a plant does not need to drain.

Holes...you NEED holes the roots must dry between waterings.... I'd suggest that you DO take this advice........ IMO

thanks for all the advice. i just transplanted it into that bucket today and realized there were no holes after i did it. im thinkin just drill a couple??

i just drilled about 10 3/16" holes and watered her down real nice and water came out the bottom so i think i solved my problem. thanks

it is a good idea next time to put a few inches of that landscape rock in the bottom. it helps.

i know i was thinkin the same thing. my only problem is that i act before i think. im just happy with wat im learning so i can correct everything for the next time around.

every grow will get better. i didn`t learn over night and am still learning even from new growers
