shit this is so simple i'm kickin my self..... has anybody done this?.
veg twice as many plants as u can bloom..... in my case 8 .
when they veg enough or get too big take half out and put in a dark room
switch light to 24hours and rotate plants every 12 hours
a bit of work i know but u getting twice the yield every 12-14 weeks
which is the equivelent of me cropping every 6-7 weeks which i would love to do but dont have two equiped grow rooms

Would definintly take Consistancy but I don't see why it wouldnt work

interesting idea . . . it'd be way more badass if you had a machine do the rotating for you.

but in theory it would work perfectly . . . .besides the HPS lamp running 24 hours . . .that could be a problem.

Supposedly, running HID lighting 24 hours a day will make the bulb and ballast last longer. I'm not sure if I believe that or not but I would definitely dedicate a fan to blow over your ballast and consider aircooling your light as well (if you haven't already). This should help significantly with the stress of running the equipment 24/7.

Plenty of people leave HID's on 24/0 through veg, no different really. I have thought about it you would just need to 2 spaces anyways so if you have a dark room chillin go for it

yeah i run my duel spectrum 400w 24 whilst vegin anyhow no probs
they designed to be on continuously if needed , its the bulb firering up that reduces the life of it so it should last longer
i was gonna light tight the room my chamber is in or make a dark chamber .theres no light or power going to it so could be as basic as a big cardboard box
anyhow that a winter project, too warm somedays for me light to be on 24
