right so first off i have one plug socket behind where i will grow
i will plug in my 24 hour light timer
then i will plug in a 6 socket extension
the 24 hour timer will control any lights or any fan that is plugged in via the 6 socket exstension

but how do i connect my 4 or 6 75w cfl lights ?
for something that most will find simple im finding it very hard.

get a dual outlet digital timer, plug it in to the top plug-in on wall, plug power strip in to timer, then plug cfl light in to power strip, set the timer setting before plugging in its easier

I believe the guy is looking for those Y light socket splitters that have a plug on the end instead of a light socket thread.

Please stop pointing people to HG HYDRO as they are a very dubious shop and cannot get orders right for people that is if they actually deliver the orders.

sorry bro. didnt even know they were a ba site. just grabbed the image off goggle
HG HYDRO = NO! , check! , ;)

i dont know why im finding this confusing but once i find out how to do it. i will wait for my white paint to dry in the cabinet then i can crack on and order seeds and start :)

only problem is i painted the cabinet with gloss and it stinks like crazy, dead harsh on my throat and eyes. hope the scent doesnt kill the plant

i just looked that item up and it sure looks like it would help me out. one side to plug in the socket and the other side so i can put the light straight in.

that would simplify this whole thing.

splitters are not available in the UK.

I would look into the wiring diagrams of desk lamps.

If you could somehow manage to fit a few in sequence then maybe you would be able to have them all running on the same circuit.

You would probably need something like a standard light fixture that you then wire yourself so that you have multiples of them. However most standard uk timers are only capable of switching 125w so if you have a few of your chosen cfls on the same circuit it may malfunction the timer.

Alot of the trouble is that we are 240v here in the UK so your 120v equipment will not work.
