Just a warning, I ordered from them and they ripped me off. They accidentally sent the package to the wrong address, and when I asked what needed to be done, they more or less told me I was shit outta luck. Their customer service is horrible, i lost $126, and they are not very helpful. I will never order from them again, and my suggestion would be for you not to either.

Thats a load of crap dude...DAN is great!! It sounds like you've had a series of unfortunate events. Hopefully the package will get returned to sender. If you gave them the wrong address and didn't check it, then its your fault and I wouldn't expect to get anything. Thats why I always double check that stuff when I order. The customer service has been awesome for me...and everyone else I know that uses them. I get freebies all the time...t-shirts, nutes(aside from the specials) and those big feed charts on Weeds:)

This is my best reason why they're great....I ordered some sensi A B bloom 4 ltr. a few months ago. When I got it one bottle has leaked out the cap all over the place...and the other bottle had fallen out of solution. I called them and I had 2 new bottles within a week! The best part is that I didn't even have to send the others back! Also...he helps with different feed programs....oh yeah...and back when I first went with Advanced Nutes...they were the only seller that would tell me what I could get by with....or what I didn't need to have. Everyone else said I needed it all. I stand by them....still it sucks that that happened to you spec K....just stay on em dont just quit calling.

Easy bro, don't tell me my situation was a load of crap. All I am doing is expressing my opinion from my personal experience. If this was my third or fourth experience with them, perhaps my opinion would be different. But this was my first (and for me my last) transaction with them, and I ended up being out $126 from the experience.

As far as the shipping address goes, as far as I'm concerned it was a clerical error. The whole shipping/billing address thing. It asked for my address, I thought I was filling out the shipping address, but it ended up being the billing address, and the computer kept an old address that I wasn't aware of. All and all I can hardly hold them accountable for that, it happens and they shipped to the address they were given.

My issue is the communication that happened AFTER i noticed there was a problem. I have had a problem with HTGsupply.com, and they solved the problem quickly and efficiently, and they were even appologetic. I like it when a company takes the stance that a customer is always right. I can hardly say that about DAN, from my personal experience.

I'll let you sort out your own opinion about the transaction that happened between the two of us:

"Dear Discount Advanced Nutrients,

I placed an order with you on July 17th, through paypal ID _____. The USPS tracking number that you gave (_________) confirmed that the item was delivered yesterday, but I never recieved the package. Today I noticed that Paypal used a previous address that I no longer live at. I was wondering what steps we can take to ensure that I recieve the shipment. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you."

of which they replied:

"we are not responsible for improper addresses, this is specified in our terms page.

good luck"

So I opened a dispute with paypal, of wich the transaction went as follows:

  • 8/11/2008 12:02 PDT - PayPal: Seller escalated this dispute to a Claim.
  • 8/11/2008 12:02 PDT - Seller: This item was shipped to the address provided by the buyer. Buyer has since then moved from that address.
  • 8/6/2008 11:20 PDT - Seller: still no package....
  • 8/1/2008 17:17 PDT - Seller: We will gladly return the parcel to the new address along with a payment for the additional shipping expenses. Please contact us toll-free at 866-405-GROW happy growing, D.A.N.
  • 7/28/2008 14:19 PDT - Buyer: I went to the former address, and they informed me that they already returned the package with instructions to return it back to the sender. By the time I made it to the post office they informed me that the package is already on it's way. The USPS tracking number only indicates what happens untill the package is delivered, not what happens afterwords. I do not hold you responsible for sending the item to the incorrect address, however I find it difficult to pay for an item that is being returned to you. Once you get the package, I would appreciate it if you would either resend it out to the new address already provided to paypal, or refund the payment (minus the cost of shipping). I understand the difficulties, and I appologize for the inconvience, but I would appreciate some coperation in this manner. I have heard great things from this company through referals, and I would hate to have this incident tarnish your reputation.
  • 7/28/2008 12:56 PDT - Seller: 9101 1501 3471 1309 0800 73 This item was delivered according to buyer supplied address. The buyer is responsible for supplying the correct address at time of payment. We are not responsible for incorrect addresses. If this item is returned to our store, we will gladly re-ship this to the correct address, however according to USPS this item has been delivered and has no instructions about return to sender at all.
  • 7/27/2008 20:00 PDT - Buyer: The item accidentially got delivered to the wrong address. I no longer live there. The item was delivered to the address given, but was returned to the store. I never recieved the shipment. I would be more than happy to either give you a new address to send the shipment to, or you can refund the money and I will order again with a correct address. I would appreciate a speedy resolution in this matter, as I need the shipment and am running out of time. thank you.
On the 2nd I called them, asking for them to call me back. I recalled on the 3rd, leaving a similar message. On the 4th I called again, and they answered and said if they got the package they would send it back on my way, providing that I paid for ADDITIONAL shipping.

DAN was the one that escallated it from a dispute to a claim BEFORE I could continue talking with them (I was out of town for about a week and a half). DAN was not interested in resolving this conflict as far as I was concerned. The customer service, regardless of how good it was to you, was very straight forward and not understanding. Like I said, I don't fault them for sending it to the wrong address, just their lack of customer service. But that is just my opinion from this one transaction.

Sorry I didn't mean to come off like that...yeah load of crap was a bit much. As far as your story goes I only got this far^^^( I still read the rest though)...yup it was your fault...that sucks man. Its a good dam thing you didn't order like 500 bucks worth of stuff...which as you know could be easy. They just can't do much because you provided the address...I mean people could just send it to a friend and say they didn't get it ya know. And they didn't return your call because they told you what the deal was. I know its a shit situation but when it comes down to it...you are gona have to eat your humble pie.

Yeah, I get that. I'm not saying that they were total assholes that stole all of my money or anything. But you know how it goes. If I had ordered the same thing from HTGsupply and the same thing happened, I have no doubt that they would have sent me a new package, no questions asked. I guess that's my fault for trying to save a few bucks and go with a different company. I just miss the days when the customer was right, and you paid money to a company so they could provide a service to you, and not the other way around. As far as me calling them three times and them not calling me back, this is why I did it:

and not because I wanted too. I didn't feel appreciated when you ask me to contact you, I do and you don't call me back. I just felt like it was really unprofesional, just my opinion though. If you had great results then go for it, it works for you. I'm just telling others my experience so they can know about it.

shenagen, no hard feelings. Either from you or to you, I think we are on the same page man

I totaly get where you are coming from....but the warning should be more of one that warns about making sure all the info on your accounts is right.....I can't get on board with your "the customer is always right" in this instance...you were just too wrong.....but any other time yeah, they should kiss our ass to keep a customer.

I'm afraid I'm just going to have to disagree with you here shenagen. I'm not saying they were in the wrong, or that they should have kissed my ass. But we have all heard multiple accounts about their competator HTGsupply resending shipments to individuals over more than just nutes. When they send you a light and it is the wrong one, or the wrong address, they have been known to send you a new one with out asking for the old one back.

I know that the wrong address was given, and as I said several times, I can hardly fault them for that. I fault them for the several times that their customer service did not provide an actual service to the customer. When I have to call you three times before you call me back, when you send me a letter telling me:

"we are not responsible for improper addresses, this is specified in our terms page.

good luck"

All without so much as saying "We're sorry, but I don't think there is much we can do for you right now" or even "Your best bet would be to talk to the post office", they just flat out said it wasn't their responsiblility.

Or the likewise several different messages they left me indicating that they were not interested in satisfying a customer, or resolving a dispute. As far as they are concerned you paid money and they shipped something out, end of story. They wern't interested in satisfying the customer, or delivering the goods, just getting payment and sending it out. But again this is just my take on it from what I have seen.

If you have had a different impression, go for it. And I totally see where you are coming from bro, it's just hard for me to see it your way from my current possition, as I'm sure you know. Roles reversed maybe I would take your position, I can't say. Just right now I'm pissed.
