Dog hairs causing snot/root rot?

I just noticed this on a close-up of my roots. I always have my dogs hairs going into the reservoir. I try my best not to let it happen but it does. Any ideas what this is? And the hair seems like the cause.

I would agree, the hair is an issue. Is your res sealed? my dog doesn't shed so not an issue I've dealt with. I have long hair but I'm always diligent with keeping it up when doing anything with the rez. Now I don't have a big rez, I have 6 individual dwc bins. But I try to limit all outside interference. I know I can't stop everything but in DWC attention and diligence are vital.

Thanks for reply. My rez containers are sealed and light proof. When I mix the nutes thats when the hairs go in. Will definitely be more vigilant.

I'm obsessive about their water. It starts with rainwater, then I wick filter the rainwater into gallon jugs and nutes are added when used. What's the top of your girl look like? Aside from that one spot her roots look amazing.

My city water is excellent with a starting ppm between 40 and 60. I use a rv carbon filter to remove most of the chlorine. It doesn't remove much else.

WOW!! I wish my tap was that good. Mine's 350+ppm, that's why I use the rain, well snow right now.

Sometimes but not like this. We haven't gotten temperatures this low since 1983 according to weather.com. Normally we hardly get enough snow to make a foot print. But this year, hell, this month, we've gotten a foot!

The only spent one year of my life without any snow.
Simple fix, don't let pets in the grow area, change clothes or have a lab coat at least before going in the grow room.
I don't know about lab coat but will definitely take all my clothes off. My dog loves being in the veg room during winters. It's -35c right now outside. Can I really say no to this face

See all this is making me miss Washington. Northwest coast for those not from America. I like the snow, I miss the snow, but the idiots around here have no clue how to handle it.
