I adopted moose about a month ago, and he always does this gesture when he gets really excited. He gets really low. Like a sit, but his belly comes about an inch off the ground. What does this mean?
Sound like he/she's a working dog, like a Australian Shepherd, some kind of herder. He's telling you he's ready to work? Give him a task . . . he'll be happy. Sounds like you got a good dog?
That'd be my guess.
Good Luck.

Any idea of the breed? Congrats on a good dog.
I've walked this male min-pin every day of his life (3 years) and am with him all but 24/7/365 and, God love him, he's still an idiot. A few more years and a thousand more miles afoot and I might end up w/a dog I can sorta handle.
At least NOBODY stops by anymore!

Lol so he's an asset in more ways than one. Moose is an APBT. He's 10 months old and full of energy. Thank you, he's the best. He's my second dog (first one died of parvo at 14 weeks. I couldn't imagine living without one now. He's truly apart of our family.
