Does topping slow plant growth

I took cuttings from my bubbleberry and great white shark, after they rooted and i transplanted them i topped them. Them seem to be growing slower then the plants i took them from. Does topping your plants stunt there growth? These are the pics of my clones 3 weeks into veg any advice on how they look

yes it does slightly "stress" the plant for a few days until it grows new shoots.

but overall, once its all healed and back in the groove it doesn't slow its growth, it just will be working on a few shoots at once so it will not grow as tall as fast
