ok, so I threw these plants outside (not literally threw) about a month ago, and ive been caring for them with more N in their diet.. but I cant help but notice the calyx developments.. I don't know if growing outdoors does this, where it kinda pre flowers during vegetative state, but I don't want it to start flowering! I got a long ways to go and they NEED the vegative growth before they start flowering. it just seems WAY too early to start flowering period? may.. but general harvest times in my area are in the October area, if they start flowering now than theyd be done by July or august ? what do yall think, do they look like they are starting to flower? because ive grown a couple indoor plants before and never saw this much pre flower during veg, not even a week after switching light spectrum and photoperiod to 12/12.. they are against a south wall so they get good light, one is just in the open which gets slight shade during the early and late day, but its the one getting the most light that looks like its starting to flower to me..

my main question has changed to: why is it flowering now? does indirect light from the sun not give it the sufficient photo period that vegetative life cycle requires? like, even though it spends a fraction of its time in shade during the morning and late evening, does the indirect exposure to the suns light not provide a good enough light to darkness ratio?

i'd say it's the difference in the prior light-regimen compared to the outside day length. Many plants will flower with a REDUCED light cycle, meaning if you had them on a 18/6 or 20/4 or even a 24/0 light cycle the dramatic difference in the day length is causing them to flower. Very, very, common. The best way to "prepare" them for the difference is starting them with a 16/8 cycle or even a 15/9, depending on the strain.
I'm guessing they were on a typical vege light pattern, correct?
those plants appear to be much older than a month, meaning they were started indoors, so i'm fairly certain it's the light pattern difference.

gosh damn why didn't I think of that, haha.. that makes total sense now! ok so, seeing as they are in flowering now, will they flower till they finish? or do they usually revert back to veg after a while? will this cause them too much stress? because they were both outdoors for the past month or even two, from about 18" in height from bottom of container to top of plant, and the un fim'd one is about 3 feet tall already .. growth exploded about a week after transplant. the other one hasn't had much vertical growth, but it has 3 tops so that could be why.. its much more bushy, but seems to be less sativa than the tall one.. will these plants be fine? what is to be expected? should I go ahead and switch to bloom nutes now and let them flower it out? or will they revert back to veg and flower when times are correct?
