What if the tub was only 2'x2' and only 11" deep? I was thinking the net pot I would use would be about 4" deep (i need to measure one) so that leaves 7" from the bottom of the pot to the bottom of the tub. I will need at least 2" to fully submerge the pump, so that leaves about 5" of air space. I would use skinny PVC to make the areo system and have it partially submerged so add another .5". I will of course have lots of air stones in the bottom of the tub, but only 4-5" of air space for the roots to be misted...
Does this sound like a waste of time building it so small? I would like to do a SCROG in this small space with maybe 4-6 plant sites... There is also only 24" of grow space before the plants would be in danger of burning from the light. When should I start flowering with this height requirement? I would do some HST when they are young to keep them bushy.
