Just a quick question...I have purchased the led 100x mag. First how much of the plant should have amber triches.??? and is the flowering time the same if a plant has been on 12/12 the whole time from seed.i have some bagseed kush, looks really nice actually...it has a lot of cloudy some clear not many...but have only seen like 3 amber triches.i faithfully look everyday.whats a good ratio , I like a heavy stone, pain killing couch locking high.i have pain insomnia and big health prob, but will not take any pain meds from a dr.just use marijuana.so thanks for the help ahead of time, it is 10weeks on 12/12. andlooking really fat and resinous.

A good ratio would be 80 cloudy 20 amber. Kind of look at it like this; While looking thru your scope find 10 tricolms 8 cloudy 2 amber basically. What you are describing sounds about where you want to be with the type of high you are looking for. As 12/12 from seed is how I have been growing this time around. The only flowering difference is that the plant will be more short and have mainly 1 big cola unless you train it to be otherwise.

I believe growing a pure Indica would help with that "heavy" high your looking for. Harvesting with 20% amber trics does help a little but your genectics will be the over riding factor. I haven't experienced a lot of difference in harvesting the same plant with more amber compared to harvesting off the same plant at mostly cloudy with very little amber. This isn't based on anything other than my personal experience- just a suggestion. Try harvesting branches off the same plant at different times of ripeness. You should be able to get a better idea of what your looking for. With all the different hybrids nowadays you should have no problem finding a strain with the type of high your looking for. GL.

While I agree it is strain and type dependent on the sort of high you are going to get in the end, the 20% amber is mainly just the way to tell that the 80% is actually cloudy and where you are wanting it to be. It's always good to check because you won't have a couchlock high with 40% cloudy and 60% clear.

Yeah, I wouldn't go past a 40% amber if i was you. If you really want some couchlock, take all your trim, stems and popcorn buds and make a dry ice bubble hash. you definitely won't regret that !!!!!!

Type of stone is down to strain, from what you have said go for a pure Indica, Regarding trichs you want as many cloudy with is little as possible clear and amber. You will never get 100% cloudy so most people wait till they see 10% amber 80% cloudy 10% clear. Or as close as you can get as its a bit of a guessing game. When you become a proficient grower (Not saying you aren't) you can also judge how the plant looks to help your judgement.

Nope doesn't have to be any amber trichs present but I recommend seeing 10% amber before deciding upon when to pull. I go by the look of the bud as well because I have seen amber trichs yet underdeveloped pistils on some colas. As they become ready you will notice the buds swell up a bit that's when I pick em. I agree with everyone here that the effects (ie couch lock or cerebral buzz) are more strain dependant than harvest time can possibly influence.
