I have this Bubblegum kush plant that I named Crash, mostly because the day I took the germinated seed out of the paper towel and tried to put it in the soil, I dropped it twice. I figured I'd killed it, but tried anyway. Since then she has lived up to her name, falling over no less than three times, but she's still growing.
However, she is quite small. 13" to be precise. I've noticed however that despite her small size, a clipping I took to sample her was one of the most powerful buds I've ever smoked. I've heard people say that stressing a plant helps up its potency, and if her small size is due from stress, well, couldn't her potency be connected to that as well?
I know it isn't just me. My wife and I are both daily smokers, and she agreed that Crash is well above par. Has anyone else had the experience of a tiny but extremely potent plant? Is there a connection to the DNA of a plant and it's eventual amount of resin, unrelated to size? Have I accidentally created Bonzai tree weed?
Just mostly wondering if there is a connection between the size of a plant and it's potency, either way. Thanks.
