Does religion count as a hallucinatory substance?

It all depends. Everyone has there own personal agenda. Applying a magical substance as a sacrament to religion is very hard to do in current times. Almost everything has been accounted for as a personal vendetta. During the 70's, many noble trippers tried to pass down LSD-25 as a sacrament of spirituality and divinity!

If you understand that we are controlled by a matrix, then understand that the matrix has many layers. One is religion. Any so-called religion that allows deity worship is designed for the followers to give their personal power away. Everything we need to guide us is inside us. Anything that suggests otherwise is part of the matrix, and its' intention is to control you

I looked up the definition of drug and all the definitions I could find had the word substance in it so I don't think religion would count. BUT I think that makes the bible a drug, and it kinda makes sense if you think about. Let's think of a hypothetical experiment where you had 2 starting villages with 200 people each and the only difference between them is one had tons of bibles. I bet you would have religious nutcases in the one with bibles... DRUG!!

some of them christian freaks seem to be pretty happy. I think they've been injecting some holy spirit.

A substance can literally define anything. But it would be improper to define religion as a whole to be considered a drug. Religion and drugs go hand in hand. Each has a certain degree of an effect on a person. Whether its a good or bad effect is up to you!
