usually, if you see only a single mushroom to maturity, that is your flush. Wait a day or two after you pick and dunk again. Cubes don't do sclerotia

Yeh I'm keeping the perlite wet but have been afraid of getting the Myclium wet or will a real fine mist be ok? Also I've got loads of little holes in terrarium and a computer fan I turn on for five mins 3 or 4 times a day instead of fanning? Wot do ya think? Cheers for my help so far boys and or girls:dunce: :bigjoint:Smudge

Just an update. I let the shroom go and cos o wanted spores and the way it was jutting out I lay some foil where they would have fallen.it grew to just under an inch the gills were fully exposed n not one spore,so do you still think it was a flush or a random pin?theres a name for them which I can't remember but you know you get semi formed infants usually round th bottom edge of the cake?!PLS LET ME KNOW WOT YOU THINK.?also I dunked for 12 hours anyway not 24 as I only done 24 last week, also any advice one good misting as I've read never get Myclium wet etc cheers lads Smudgeimage.jpgimage.jpg

that is a fully formed mushroom. It is so small you may have missed the spores. A fruiting body can fail to sporeulate if it in nearing sencience (genetic exhaustion) or if the trait is bred out of it.

I mist the cakes on most sides til they almost drip 3-4 times a day. I've had small amounts of excess water come through the bottom of my chamber I mist so much .. Don't forget to fan the cakes at least twice a day. I fan with my lid 30 sec or so after every mist.

I've never had to mist my cakes and I still got about an 1/8th per cake. I think your problem is over watering. There is enough moisture in your substrate to produce a flush or two, easily. Only dunk the cakes after you've gotten a couple flushes otherwise you're inviting unnecessary risks, imo.
