Does my powdered pH down affect my ppm reading?

I have an aeroponic large Rubbermaid tub set up. I haven't been adding any nutes as my ppm reading has been inching up to 800. To knock my pH reading from 6.2 down to a 5.7, I add powdered pH down to a cup of mix from my reservoir. I mix it up before adding it to my reservoir. My ppm reading then kicks up from 800 to 850. Does the powdered pH down affect my ppm reading as I assume some particles are suspended and not fully mixed? My tap water has a 140 ppm reading. If I wanted to target a 700 ppm nute level, do I look for a 840 ppm reading adjusting for the ppms in the tap water or just look for a 700 ppm reading?

If your ppm keeps going up then you are starting with too much to begin with. I am a big believer in using liquids in hydro, and liquid pH adjuster is very cheap. I do not have any ppm variances using liquids.

...what Provolone said and, when you start with 140 ppm, it is mostly calcium and magnesium, and other things, so you can just add other nutes to 840, or if you have nute parts like cal/mag. you can lower its usage to make up for the added calcium and magnesium found in source water.
