does honey really work for makin the clones root?

I've used rooting hormone, rooting gel, honey and absolutely nothing at all. I've had about the same luck with all 4. Rooting hormone powder seems to work the fastest though.

never used honey. i can understand how it would work cuz it's gel like. it keeps the cuttings moist. i tried this and that and ended up using nothing mostly, which cost the least and worked just fine. the plant makes it's own hormone.

use honey if you want bugs on your clones

i mean as far as keeping the air out of the wound and replenishing startchs and what not its great not really source of hormones or nutrients. but its good for wounds and will help with the cloning process i would still use a rooting substance containing a mix of NNA and IBA in addition.

interesting iv got a buddy who has lots of bee thingys and makes tons of honey. i have afew jars i was gunna make medicated honey sticks with, but im also gunna try mixing powdered root hormone with honey to make my own rooting gel. im talking about the 5 dollar rooting powder from cvs too so essentially if it works good it would 5-6 dollar rooting gel

lol i live in a place were theres hydro stores EVERYWHERE and it seems like everybody grows so i figure that explains it
