Seriously? Can I just have a little movement or barely none at all???

I don't want to buy tons of air pumps...

what if I had 0 air pumps? how would that fair?

oxygenated water is a critical component....without oxygen in the water your roots will drown...
its not neccassary to buy tons of air pumps however..i use one that cost abour $25, is super quiet, and gets the job done.

you can have a small air pump and it will work but it wont be any thing to write home about
get a big pump and get big plants
i have used both big and small air pumps and your really wasting your time unless the water looks like its boiling (when i asked this question i was told the water has to be rolling)

I'm in agreement with Jimmy. DWC is ALL about the bubbles. I did a run and had 4 plants each had 2 bubblers off of diaphram. I now have 2 plants off 4 bubblers.

I'm getting ready to ditch the little pumps and go to a piston pump. My local hydro store sells the piston pumps for about 40 bucks and one piston pump moves more air then 20 diaphram pumps.
