Chitosan is a compound that is created from the breakdown of chitin. Chitosan is the product that you may find most commercially available as both a plant growth regulator and a "no risk" systematic pesticide. Note: per my current understanding most chitosan is produced using a synthetic process on an organic product, thus is not truly organic. Not only that, but if you are using it to reverse an outbreak, it may not be the best option. I will share a better option in a minute.
Sorry I don't know for sureThis is what I'm referring to:

Chitin, Chitoson and Chitinase
Been gathering some info on these three compounds, found it interesting and helpful hopefully you will too; To most effectively use chitin you need to...forum.grasscity.com
It's one of the things that makes Bud Factor X do what it does, but AFAIK, isn't what everyone is concerned about (Salicyclic Acid).
U are the worst, man I tried so hard to understand that for you tooI'm thinking (hoping) that perhaps I can use ORP to determine if it's playing nice or not in a test environment. I'd think that adding it to a solution at around 500mV would lower it if it was conflicting due to wanting to pass off electrons like other organic material and stay the same if it plays nice. I'm not sure though since I'm quite literally making this up.
Really hoping some genius/scientist/chemist/biologist chimes in.

I don't think so. Chitosan can be used in bio-certified foodgrows without causing problemsAlso, does anyone know if Chitosan comes up with a bad result from lab testing plants treated with it?
Cheers
