Does anybody remember back in the day when seeds used to be jet black.

I mean small and black as can be . No brown or stripes . Also remember the tiger stripe seeds used to be huge and had full stripes . This all was back 20 or so years ago. You don't see the small black seeds as much now.

Lol. But really . Guess they may have been purer strains back then. I can remember having 3 or 4 types of seeds and all had a very different appearance . I was looking at a (show us your seeds ) thread and all the seeds looked the same . Light to dark brown with broke up stripes .

Guess we may have had different strains back then than most . Just can't see that tho. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly .

Also remember some seeds back in the day that came out of Cali that was huge . They was damn near pea size. We called them pea seeds .

I've got some seedsman sugar haze seeds that are TINY little dark things. Not black but not mottled or striped either. Just dark and tiny. I'm wondering is this a sativa characteristic?

Also is there such a thing as seed phenotypes? I like snapping photos of beans and looking at the different kinds of patterns I started to wonder that. And if anything could be predicted about the plant from the seed phenotype. Yeah.... I was likely high as fuck.

Thats about like I was talking about . Little dark solid color seeds . I would like to see some landrace seed pics .

Some one needs to start a landrace seeds only pic thread . So we can see what these seeds start out looking like.

Can't really see the turtle shell pattern with my eyes like I can in the macro photo. I put them next to some average sized tiger striped beans for comparison.

The jamaican brick shwag used to have black beans but then again the weed was also dark brown so i do think it was cooked out in the sun or something.
I have noticed that sativa seeds tend to be darker or at least the ones ive seen.

Thats pretty close . Maybe a tad bit more darker. But same shape.

I should have taken a pic from a normal view without light blasting on em. ;)

So is this a thing with sativas? Or hazes in particular maybe? I have no experience with sativas.
