Trying 2 100w integrated IC led chips instead of the 4 100w COB led chips under driven. powered by PC power supply's. Don't get me wrong this worked fine for my fridge grow i got like 2 1/2 zips for the area, 4 sq ft. that way should i get popped its only a fine where I live so 'm somewhat safe. Back to topic using 1 cool white and 1 warm white led, the 4 previously used supplied 10000 lux at certain levels but these 100w dob's supply over 75000 everywhere under the chip is 107,000 and i thought that was a good thing. Has anyone else tried using the DOB led chips? How'd your grow go and do you have any pics that might help me perfect my grow currently using DynaGro Grow + Cal mag in perlite hempy with Hydro-ton pebbles on bottom and top, is that a good idea? Image 20190408 is of last run using the 4 100w under driven cobs using step up boost converters powered by the PC power supply Comments welcomed advice appreciated

So I take it that using these at the height they are is cool? and that much intensity won't bleach the bud? I know its a rinky dink set up but no criticism or encouragement. The last run i used a 10 gallon tote cut down to 8" filled to 3/4 full of perlite rest clay pebbles 2" hole from the bottom, then i noticed the root system didn't get that big so switched to these not good at math but it's 7 3/4 at the base and like 8 something at the top looking inside the container i drilled holes in the pvc tube and covered with mesh i had so far it drains pretty good. does this work for hempy? should i use an air stone?

I have two bag seed cuttings and a Burmese seedling vegging and wanted to know what you guys thought about the intensity of the lights in first post and would they be too strong in this small of a space information online says 150w to 200w is fine for a 4 foot sq area. I want healthy rapid growth and its been said more light helps but too much hurts. Is that totally true?

Okay one things for certain the 2x100w DOB in a 4ftsq grow box is way to much light especially at 12-18 inches. Baby-girl's leaves started feeling like cray paper and screaming for help. Nice chip though I think they would work great in a 4x4. So I removed the warm white one and this morning the leaves started to feel more like they should. They were actually curling and growing all contorted but looks like this now. Set environment temp to 81 deg. exhausts at 81.1 deg runs 30 seconds every few minutes. Been growing in this for 10 years tried cfl when i first started then HID I'm a hobbyist so not trying to grow tree's just having fun with benefits. I know some are saying that dudes been here for 10 yrs and he don't know shit that's cool if you feel that way but I'm good used to grow in FF then started trying this Hempy type grow for idiots and so far I like it. So basically this info is for myself to refer to if i need to or anyone else that has small grows going. I say that using the 100w in a 2ft sq area would be cool at least thus far i will continue posting this little grow using this light throughout see what happens.
