Do you think fem seeds germ slower?

I am trying out fem seeds for the first time. It is going slower than the other seeds, but I have checked inside the RR and they are coming along. They look strong healthy, white widow skunk seeds, but are taking a while.

females grow slower than males. Usually with seeds you cannot tell.

perhaps from however they got these seeds female they are naturally showing that in seed form too.


IDK, i am assuming that evryones fem seeds sprout slower, i remember reading soemthing about this.

I soaked these overnight like I do all seeds.

right now I got a mazar afghan, a widow cindy, a bagseed, and 2 fem white widow skunks.

the fems are def slower to pop.

I was on RIU to see just this question. I got to agree with you I have some normal and feminised seeds and the norms poped after 36 hours the fems are still germin at and unpopped after about 40 hours?

Maybe the femmed seeds have naturally thicker skins

sounds right. did you presoak? if not they are probably fill with moisture now. Make sure you keep the medium wet.

I am In RR and funny story something else grew too, something weird like a weed and I thought it was some deformed mj seed and I got all pissed but it was just a weed and thank the ganja goddess somehow I did not damage the fem, lol. It is still going.

whats the longest you guys/girls had to wait before giving up? how long is to long?

just keep it wet man, Lol. It is kinda a long story on why I started growing. But in one part of the saga I put a spare bagseed in some dirt I had for a basil plant and a week or solater I noticed 3-4 inch long mj plants standing there all surprised to see me as I was to see them.

how long has it been> I, and be careful trying this at home, like to use a flathead screwdriver, the smallest I can find, to take a peek. I lightly dig a little dirt then gently replace just to make sure things are doing ok. So far I have not hurt anything.

Just makes growing more fun.

got 2 of 2 fems out of dirt yesterday, today 24 hours lare it is the weirdest thing. One seed still staunchly has the seed stuck to it anad the other still has closed cotelydons. I usually just flick off extra seed, not this one, it is on like a foot ball helmet. lol.

they are way slower but they are huge, or at least good sized.


Got my mowrider 2 fems, I am going to soak them a little longer. I think, that should be good


90 days from today or so. lol, excited.

I have germinated 2 sets of fem seeds and both times they cracked open over night and were ready for planting by the second day.

i prefer green house seeds, above other breeders, i never used to soak, but soak from 6-24 hrs and then germ you will have cracked seeds in 24hrs max...so far with greenhouse i germ 100% this is out of 30 seeds too, white lable gets me 8/10 which is still good

it was kinda awesome. the seeds were up but the cotelydons were stuck together and the seed case was still resolutely on. So i said fuck it and opened them and pulled the case off.

anyway. inside was the already growing first set of leaves. kinda cool, look healthy. I am satisfied.
