Do you let your leaves yellow completely before plucking?

I was thinking about when to pull those bottom leaves that yellow. In my last grow, once they were 50% or more yellow, I pulled them off. Now, I'm letting them yellow completely before I remove them. My reasoning is that the leaf yellows as the rest of the plant takes the easily accessible nutrients and fluids from the leaf, and removing it before it is completely yellow forces the plant to find those fluids elsewhere, or go without. Am I correct in assuming this?

Sounds like a fair explanation. Most of us are too impatient to let a leaf turn 100% yellow, or better yet wait until it falls off on its own.

I pluck them when they are dead or almost dead. I pull on the stem lightly and if its dead, it will pluck right off. If there is still life left in it, it kinda holds on.
