Do you have to dry harvested Seeds?

Hello all I pollinated my blue mystic with some awesome indica bud I smoked had a few seeds from the smoke. Anyway I pollinated about 4 weeks ago and yesterday I took a peak and saw one seed just sitting there and another one about to pop out so I took these two letting one dry now and then I put the other into a wet paper towel. So my question here is do I have to dry seeds before planting? Or can I harvest them off the lady and put them right into germination? This is my first time breeding and I'm not really sure, couldn't find the answer on the search as well.

Oh the seeds are dark and hard, they have
markings on them but not really distinct

Thanks everyone!

So for storage I need to wait? But I don't have to if I want to plant right away? Sorry I know kitty said that I do but poly said I didn't so I'd like to verify

Look at it from nature's point of view. Seeds mature in the fall and over winter before they sprout, usually even in the tropics. Yes, some seeds will pop right off the plant given the correct conditions to do so, but your going to have much better success drying them first, placing in a cool dry place will assist also.
All we as growers, breeders and want to bes are doing is copying nature. Hope your seeds are killer.

Thanks guys! I put my seeds in the old packaging I got from nirvana and I'm just letting them dry out in the closet. It's in the basement and stays cool! I'll let them dry until mid April then I'll see if any germinate. Thanks everyone
