I harvest my plants 1 bud at a time.

depends on what kind of situation i am in. in guerrilla growing i harvest the entire thing when i notice a plain eye's view of amber spots or shitty weather coming. indoor growing i take my time and observe trichs in each bud. im still a newb to growing but its definitely the way to learn the most unless you have a perpetual cab running

Yea do em all at once if they are all ready, but no if not. I compare it to tomatoes in the garden. Just because ones red doesnt mean ya take em all, but if they are all red why not?

I got my record harvest with a double harvest. I aim for flat top and limit the undergrowth, one time she bushed up thicker than i planned. When i mowed top off there was a lot more undergrowth than what i thought. I let em go, kept a scope on em, they ended up going full nother month! Literally doubled my harvest, as in quantity. However the second round was good, but not great appearance as density never became what tops were. I dont think ill aim to take it to that extreme again though...

That being said take em when ready whatever that means to your grow style...

There is one major reason to harvest all at once -- small buds start to droop the minute they are cut from the plant. Drooping makes it much harder to properly trim the plant. I sit at the counter with a plant, pot and all, sitting next to me. I keep a trash can for trimmed material between me and the plant to help speed up the process, I harvest 2 plants a week and it takes me 45 - 60 minutes to harvest a plant, Course I've had a ton of practice!

Good point Big Steve, but you can leave on the plant what you don't want to trim so it doesn't droop. I once and a while, usually late into trim night, chop off more than I can do. When I hit the brick wall and still have some cut but not trimmed I stick em in a jar of water like a bouquet of flowers. Keeps em from drooping till the morning or next night... Because you are correct, wilty buds are the worst to trim!

How did the harvest turn out??
im planning a staggered harvest this run because i packed my cab to tight lol. hoping it will dense up some of the popcorn underneath.

It will, I did same thing if you seen my post above. In my experience they never densed up like nice top buds but where a helluva lot better than they would have been had I taken em all at once...

thats good, a noticeable improvement is all im really hoping for.

im only planning to leave it for an extra week or two, hope thats enough.

what i did was flush for a week. cut just the top colas, then started right back with reg feeding for one week, then flushed again . and see a noticeable increase with density and weight, than if i just pulled all at once. but try not and take more than 50% of plant. might put it in shock .

Mine took 4 weeks. I just kept scoping them as u now no longer have days in flower evenn as a refference point. It took a week for her to drink her watering where before harvest she was drinking every 3 days. So between less plant mass to support and the stress of a major chop she did little thats first week, almost seemed to "not count"

Idk if 4 weeks is any magic number or just wht it took mine in my enviornment and yours could be diff. Your microscope, eye, green thumb and growers gut feel will become all the more vital in this phase...
