Nutes are Nutrients, And yes they do go bad, they will last longer if you keep them out of direct light and in a cooler area, id say around 60-70 degrees works, that is just an educated guess though
Thanks...I knew what nutraints are...just never herd of them being refered to as Nutes,,,haha, while on the topic...which nutes do you guys recommand for a hydroponic system...im assuming there would be a differance between Nutes for a hydro system and a soil? correct?
I grow in soil and use Age Old Organics nutrients exclusively. Last spring I took a short break and left half a jug of nute sitting around. It was flower nute so I didn't use it again for a while. When I opened the jug up, there was an inch thick mat of mold growing on top of the solution. I used it anyway and didn't have any obvious damage to my crop. As a rule of thumb though, you should follow GregNak's advice and store them in a cool dark place. I've also started to seal the jugs up better but ... I tend to use even a gallon of concentrate so quickly that I haven't had any more problems with mold in my nute.
Great ..... thanks for that info though! I have been keeping my FF nutes in my grow box so I think they have gone bad because of the high temps ...... grrrr I think I might have to try some new nutes like GH
