Im going to cut them down and clean everything if this goes too far in the crapper
It killed my mites just fine and the buds were good at the dose I tried, it just browned the pistils pretty bad at like week 4 or 5. I screwed mine up really bad listening to advice to spray sulphur based bug products on flowering plants. No amount of bud washing after harvest could get the sulphur smell or taste out of the flowers and I lost my entire outdoor crop. It was a very painful lesson on doing very thorough research and not just taking somebody's advice for something. Live and learn right? Hopefully the rinse did the trick for you. Those two spotted mites are worth hitting hard out of the gate though, they're no joke. I hope everything works out well for you. We all work too hard at this to have to lose a plant much less multiple ones.

You're not the first person and won't be the last to do that. Especially around here :bigjoint:. Myself included. They're pretty resilient, it didn't get long enough to do too much. You're paying close attention to the plants and that's what's important. A lot of people don't catch mites until there's webbing and by then it's really bad. Smoke a bowl and try to relax. You're doing everything you can.

I'm definitely burning one. Surprisingly not stressing about it.

not too bad, looks like minimal damage.
i fucked up a couple of weeks ago, grabbed a bottle of industrial cleaner i had been using to clean old buckets and sprayed one of my plants with it thinking it was the bottle of cal-mag i keep around...it did a lot more damage than that, but fortunately, only to one plant...:dunce:
Shit happens. Usually the best teacher is a screw up.

Looks like a good recovery what is the update op?
Not good. Those little bastards kept surviving.

Ended up killing off some plants but kept some going to try to eliminate all of the mites.

As of this morning after 6 sprays of citric acid, with the one yesterday being ridiculously strong, still found a few alive.

The plants are toast, those mites are about to be doused until the last one is gone.

It's personal now.20220708_111616.jpg20220708_111658.jpg

Never tried the Spinosad?
No. At first used the citric acid because it seemed the most user friendly. Then once the dose was enough that major plant damage occurred, then it has become an agenda to see how much citric acid it takes.

This particular variety of spidermite seems to have some ability to survive the acid wash.

Am going to use the spinosad as prevention on next grow once this is cleaned up and sterile.

Read that these mites can survive up to 10 days without food.

Alcohol will kill them for sure so after bleach wipe down will do an iso wipe down.

I hope this works out for you but if I'm remembering right 3 tsp per qt browned my pistils fairly bad. I'm glad you went back and rinsed them off.
Oof yeah, I did the citric thing recently and my pistils didn’t like it, plants otherwise healthy and pests are dead so decent trade off I guess pistils were pure white before treatment F171B878-9032-4F5F-9349-89E92EB61297.jpeg

You’re in flower so kinda limited to citric acid based products ie dr zymes/ nuke em or 3tbsp of citric acid mixed with water and a wetting agent(use yucca not soap since you’re in flower)
I used a yucca extract with citric acid 3rd and 4th sprays.

Thought they were gone both times but maybe eggs hatched or something.

On the veg plants actually sprayed them with alcohol and dawn soap hoping to be able to get a clean clone off one.

About to kill plants and do a deep clean after finding this but don't know what it is. I honestly can see it clearly either.

There is a bigger brown one and then several little white specs moving.

Had spidermites on an indoor pepper plant and used central coast cleaner to get rid of them but these are not making webs
It's an arthopod...has exoskeleton.......if your not in flower mode wet your plant leaves down and dust both sides with diamataceous earth ( food grade ) , kills f'ing fast.
