Do I need to flush?

My bagseed plant is close (2-3 weeks) to harvest. I've been using General Organics BioThrive, Organicare Calcium, and Humic Acid, and Fox Farm Tiger Bloom.

The thing is, I didn't know there were chemical ferts in Tiger Bloom when I bought it, but I think its supposed to be a low amount. My question is:

Do I need to flush my soil since I have been using Tiger Bloom? Is this stuff gonna affect the taste? I have been using everything else organic.

But if, for the most part, it has been fed organics, and has been growing in 100% biodynamic organic soil, then there shouldn't be any salt build up, except for from Tiger Bloom, but I have only used it 4 times, and I could just stop using it. I did put a fair amount of Budswell guano in the soil mix.

If I do need to flush, then should I do it the next time i water?

definatly flush no matter what. I wouldn't say two weeks , just how ever long it takes to get your leaves nice and yellow, so it might take longer or be quicker

fliush at least 6 days before you cut man ... i recently had that problem and you could still taste the nutes

Its NOT.

Healthy leaves produce big buds. Keep your leaves as green and healthy for as long as possible.

Your plant looks to be a little overfed (judging from the clawing leaf tips) so you may want to back down your feeding.

Also, have you been administering nutrients with every watering, or do you alternate water, nutrients, water, nutrients, water, etc.? If you've already been alternating in water-only feedings then flushing is not as important.

I'd say you should do it with your plant just judging by its condition.

I have been nuting it every watering. I didn't know that's why they were clawing like that. Based on all the answers I've gotten o think I'm just gonna give it water from now on, and I'll flush this weekend.

Why flush when using organics? Chemical salts I can see, but with organics, it doesn't make any sense.

I agree with just the water for a bit. Nuting every watering is a bit much. Give your girls a chance to finish what's already on their plate before adding more. :mrgreen:

I wasnt planning on flushing until I realized there were some chemical ferts in Tiger Bloom. I meant to buy Big Bloom. The other day, I picked a lower mug off to smoke (it didn't really get me high, obvi), and it didn't taste like ferts (I guess), just chlorophyll.

I don't have anything to loose by flushing do I?

No, nothing to lose, but just water for the last couple of weeks would do the same.

I don't think you have enough chems in there to worry about, but it's all a learning process, do whatever makes you feel best.

if you don't let your leaves yellow after they have already become big and healthy then your buds well not taste as good because you have all those sugar starches, nitrogen, chlorophyll trapped in your leaves that well effect the taste and smoothness. let the plant eat away at its reserves and die off a little.

Aside from Jerry Garcia's reply and the OP trying to learn, this has been the biggest bunch of unmitigated Bullshit I have ever heard.
Where do you guys come up with all this? You read bad info on the net and feel the need to pass it along? Have you ever had a garden, or grown anything besides 1 plant in a closet, 2 cfls and a bunch of yellow leaves?
Thank God there was no internet when I started growing years ago. I would never have gotten a crop to finish.

I do appreciate all the input from everyone, though. I have heard many theories about the last two weeks that rollituppers offered throughout the forums, but I figured this was a bit different since my grow was mostly organic.
I didn't know, however, that you could over-fert with organics, except for maybe worm castings.

I sure hope that's the beers talking...

Check out this video...I don't use advanced nutrients myself, but he puts up some interesting charts about plant nutrition. Note the high levels of Nitrogen required by the plant during FLOWER. Most flower nutrients have N levels that are far too low. That's why leaves yellow and die. It's not normal nor is it good. Nor will it make your buds not taste good.
