Hey guys

i usally flush but i got to thinking do you really need to do it. if you use foxfarm fertilizers?

i use
foxfarm.big bloom,tiger bloom.

do i need to flush before harvest? i want your opinions. i think these ferts are 100% organic if im not mistaken.

let me know please

I would, I have them but never flushed them till recently. Now my plants going thru some struggles right now.

I would flush, i dont like the taste of fertilizers organic or not. I do use Foxfarms still flush.
Goodluck

i usally do 2 weeks flush but i dont like how my plants/buds look at the end.

do you think 7 day flush is enough?

Hydro or soil? For soil i would do 2 weeks and hydro you could get away with 1 but in both it depends on how many nutes you used prior to the 2 weeks. If plants were just on a heavy feeding schedule i would go 2 weeks in hydro as well. In hydro you can simply change all the water and clean res, but in soil even with a good flush there are still nutes that are waiting to be broken down my micro organisms in the soil. If you have already done the 2 weeks and are growing the same strain and diddnt like the outcome the first time i would go with a week either way. Some people dont mind the flavor of ferts or have grown accustomed it. I just like a smoother hit and i find flushing does that for me. Good luck hope all goes well

well its soil.

not the same strain.

im not doin heavy feeding just normal.

plants do not like alot of nutes.they burn really really easy

one of my plants looks done now. it got done really quick within a week. but ive been flushing it for the week so it will be flushed 7 days the other will be 14 i will try it and see if i can tell

thansk for the help

I flush with 2x the amount of water as normal- so if 2 gallons usually takes care of the garden I will PH 4 gallons and use that. Some people use 3x water to flush- that's overkill in my book.

Also, how much to flush depends on when you stop feeding. I usually trail off the nutes so that a couple of good flushes during the last week does the job.

Holy crap , I have 30x 5 gallon pots lol thats... like 150 gallons of flushing . :(

Nah man you don't have to run 5 gallons of water through a plant in a 5 gal. pot to water it normally. I have 4 plants in 1.6 gallon containers and I only use 1.5 gal of water for those every other day.

my pots are 5 gallons. and one plant is done and is 5 days into flushing will pull her sunday proably.

also i looked at my other plants and they seem all milky but not alot of red hairs. are they done or no.should i go by the microscope and not the hairs.
mostly milky and a few amber.

what do ya think?

i will have pics on friday most likely

i will have some tomarrow.

they are in the 8th week of flowering so i think they might be done. they are indica hybrids so they should be done

when you flush before harvest is not the same to flush out a defficency or over fert problem it is a slower flush because you have 2 weeks you just stop using ferts and use water only this slowly makes the plant use the nutrients it already contains or can get out of the soil add no more ferts during this time. That is how I would do it you dont flush a healthy plant with 3x pot size in water
