Do I need to dry and cure if I am going to make CannaButter?

I would imagine that the chemicles removed from the plant, with curing, could possibly be oil soluble, as well as the other canibinoids.

Anybody got an educated answer?

The buds should be dry. They do not need to be cured.

I would ATLEAST water cure for a day changing the water twice to get rid of the chlorophyll. You could then put them in a crockpot with water and butter so you would not have to dry buds after that.
