Okay so I have a grow going I have already posted these pics so anyone that has veiwed them....Sorry my question is I have a 400 watt hps and 4 24" flourecent fixtures my grow closet is 4.5 feet in height, 3.5 feet wide, and 2.5 feet deep I have one fart fan {bathrooom fan} and two computer fans too control the heat. I still dont have enough room I planted 5 plants and got 4 females...I was not expecting that only one seed was feminized! so I am short on room. My dumb ass dad got a light that does not seperate from the ballest. {He is my partner he bought the lights, fert,and all that, and I grow}
I am also inexperienced so I let the plants get too big before sexing now my skunks are 4.5 feet and then some but the buds seem to be very loose I think I have enough light for the space and the shelf that the light is on is movable I keep it as close to the plant as possible..You can already see where I have burnt the plants from having it too close to the light but like I said I am light on room how can I fix this? somone told me I should seperate the bulb from the ballest I agree but is this possible...How Any help would be great I know this is the best site for help and I need it I have 20 high grade seeds from Nirvana..10 chrystal {white widdow and northern lights hybrid and 10 jock horror} I used my free seeds+ the blue cheese for a trial grow Please Help! here are some pics

Don't see the pictures. You have enough light. I have too suggestions for your dilema which I use in such a predicament (too many plants) I split the grow in two. Half the plants go into another unlit closet for 12 hours then get switch around to the lit one. A bit of work but you will get twice the weed.
For the height problem I tie the stems down horizontal.
Good luck

ya, that's a good technique. if you could build a lazy suzan type thing on the floor to rotate your plants from light to dark area instead of moving them all by hand, that would be even cooler ;p

hey dont go away the pics are up now... didnt have enough room! that is great advice. I will take that into consideration for next time I also know that my pots are too small but I think transplanting during budding would be bad am I wrong?

i dunno, it's hard to tell in pics, but the planters might be too small for how big the plant is now, it's probably bigger than you expected to get i know, but still they can get root bound and halt growth completely. ask for other opinions on that, cause i dunno for sure, but better safe than sorry. your buds might be a little loose, that can be also because you let them stretch too much in the veg stage. and not enough light.. but i dunno if that is your case.. it looks like you have enough light for that area.. if you need to tie down your plants to the pot to get light into the plant better, you should do it. the branches might be too hard for that now, i dunno, don't break em but you might wanna try to spread them out so light can get deep in there.

I also know that my pots are too small but I think transplanting during budding would be bad am I wrong?
won't make much difference now, I've transplanted a few weeks into flowering but after harvesting and dumping out the soil I notice few roots in the new soil so I make sure to repot just before changing to 12/12.
I'm going away now, seen the pictures, goodbye, good luck.

i dunno if it is bad or not, but if it needs done you should do it asap. not doing it kills the plant, doin maybe stress it for a min, but it will at least recover and thrive.

thanks guys gave you both rep... my next grow I will try to do a journel and update every 48 hours add me to friend list would appricate the feed back
