Do cuttings (clones) need nitrogen while rooting?

they seem to be getting pale.

is plain water enough to get them to root ?

Clones don't need any nutrients to root. Their lower fan leaves will yellow and die as the clones feed on them to grow roots.

A good way to feed clones is foliar spraying a very light nute solution. But as was already stated, some yellowing is expected. Perhaps you need to dim your lighting.

use a light bloom solution to help rooting.

couple drops of vitamin b1 aka phosphoric acid 0-2-0

YES someone else said to have as little light as possible when cloning which makes sense to slow down metabolism

its a single blue spctrum 13w CFL but its still bright.

formulex!!! i wouldnt cloane with out it.. mix it ul half strenth and use it all the way untill the can use propper nutriants!! peace
