Do clones need to be in a room?

I have 4 clones I am going to be putting outdoors.. my 6x6 room is pretty full and didn't split the room for veg/flower

I was wondering if I could just take my 4 26watt CFL's and attach them to the ceiling and NOT have the clones in their own room.. Just kind of under lights in the open.. I don't really have much more room for another room..

it doesn't sound like a problem to me.. so long as they're getting enough light, they should be fine imo..

How far away would the plants b from ur cfls? Would that be the spot u would keep em in for the whole grow, cause depending on how far away the plants r from the lights a lil later on u might wanna get some sort of clip lights for ur cfls so u could get em closer to ur plants. Just so u could get the most outta ur lights.

I will probably keep them within a foot.. and no, they will not be their the entire life span, they will go into the room once the others are done or a little before (about 5 weeks)

After 3-4 inches the lights are getting almost no lumens from the CFL's. Personally I keep lights 1-2 inches from the plants. Having them so far away won't help the plant and will only get the room too hot.
