Are there strains that do better than others, or are suposed to be, grown 12/12 from seed?

I'm sure there are some. Opposite extreme would be autos

you can. they are called auto flowering seeds. i think

auto-flowering strains don't go by photoperiod. they flower according to plant maturity is my understanding
