hey everyone.. just wanted to let everyone know about this particular strain. How it grows and how it smokes.
I only order feminized seed packs.. as hopefully to avoid having any males pop up inside my garden.
Well, I ordered the 'White Berry' feminized 5pack from 'The Attitude'. In return, the UFO i got with my package.. happened to be a single feminized 'Lemon Skunk' seed from DNA Genetics.
Now, germination for this strain.. was unbelievable. The speed at which she germinated for me was remarkable. I used the damp cloth towel method for germinating this seed. She germinated in under 3 days total.. I was happy with that result. Who wouldn't be right?
She poked out from underneath the soil.. on November 7th... gave her only one week worth of vegging. Which was a mistake.. I know I won't be getting a really good yield this time.. but next time I will. Next time I'll be sure and give her at least 3 or 4 weeks worth of vegging that way I will end up with more and bigger yields from the grow.
As of today... she is a total of 46 days old.. but she's been flowering for exactly 24 days as of today.
She's a fairly short plant.. but I'm the one to blame for that. I switched her over to flowering WAYY too soon. And when your dealing with feminized seeds.. there's really no reason to force the plant(S) to flower so soon.. since I already know they're going to be females.
Anyhow, all in all? She's a very quick growing strain. In vegging cycle and flowering cycle. Once she get's into about her 2nd week of flowering, that's when she kinda slows down. But.. not for long. Once she gets into the middle of the 3rd week of flowering.. she REALLY takes off for some reason.
Right now.. I'm slapping myself in the face for not giving this one more vegging time. But.. even for the small amount of vegging I gave her.. she's still probably going to give me a good solid 1/2OZ of buds once dried. Even though she's only 14 inches tall.. she's got some REALLY big buds on her. Especially the main top khola. She's going to be at least an 8 gram nugget once she's dried and cured. Not to even mention the side shoots that are slowly catching up to the middle main shoot.
But the side shoots... even though they're catching up to the main khola.. look like they might even be a little bigger in size when compared to the main kohla.
I won't know for sure.. until harvest day comes. Which.. I know for sure I will have some buds that will be ripe and mature.. before other ones. So, I'll be picking off the ripe buds.. to let them dry and cure.. while the other buds remain on the plant.. to ripen up more and mature.
Once harvest day comes.. come back and take a look. As, then and only then.. I will have pictures posted of this lovely (yet small.. or medium in size) lady. I will also have more of a complete report on this strain... on that same day.
So.... if your interested.. keep watching.. or try and remember to come back.. and check every day.. during the second week of January.
Last but not least.. for right now.. I would def. recommend this strain for everyone. From your beginner.. even to the most experienced growers. It def. holds to its name. 'lemon skunk'. As right now... she's giving off a hint of Lemon from her flowers. The smell right now.. it reminds me of those Lemon Drops.. you know the candy you buy?? Smells identical almost.
