Strain: DNA Genetics Hashplant x Haze

Growth: 10/10
Air cooled 400 watt HPS for flowering, 150 watt HPS w/ 4x 26 watt CFL for vegging.
This strain LOVES to be topped, and topped and topped some more. I didnt top the first one I flowered, and learned quickly to top them. They take off after the switch to flowering faster than anything else Ive grown.
my 1 Hashplant x Haze is VERY Sativa dominant. My advice if you grow the strain is top them for 4 main colas and LST them, or be prepared for leggy plants.

I had to chop at 8 weeks, would have like to have gone 2 more, i think she would have really like it. Here he the top at 6 weeks

A dream to clone, clones faster than any strain I have cloned. If you cant clone this stuff, give up on cloning. The pic is after 4 days in a bubble cloner

Nutes:
Grown in MG Organic soil, no nutes during veg. Jacks Classic Blossom Booster during flower

Yield:7/10
I dont own a scale, but yield seemed average. Not disappointing, not mind blowing either. If you want an above average yield you must top this strain.

Bag Appeal: 7/10
In cure goes to a nice green tone w/ super bright orange hair. Covered in trichomes so theres a nice frost to the buds. Only thing that keeps bag appeal from being higher is the smell.

Smell: 6/10
Doesn't present a strong smell at all. If odor is a concern for you this is a good strain. If you want your nugs to stink up the room look elsewhere.

Taste: 5/10
Not great, kind of a generic taste to be honest. Tastes like the weed that you can get in every city in the USA, disappointing taste.

The High: 8/10
Above average high. Might not be for some though. At first it seems very ordinary then WHAMMO the buzz gets very intense and heady very quickly. For a little bit it gets to the point of being retarded, some might not like this I do :bigjoint:
After about 30 minutes it mellows out into a nice buzz that lasts a while

Comments:
Great beginner plant as its easy to clone, is hardy, and can take a ton of nutes. Top her for multiple tops and reap a decent harvest

I smoked a joint w/ a good friend that grows too. We were both taken by the high.
The smell and taste are deceivingly average. My first thought when we smoked it was "WTF? you kidding me this tastes like Mafia weed?"
15 minutes later my buddy said "thats the kinda high I remember when I was a kid, being all retarded and shit"

If you are looking for a Ferrari this isn't it. If you want a 1970 Nova in primer that will keep up w/ the Ferrari this is it. No bells and whistles, just a great high.

Sounds like a decent strain but a bit like drinking Budweiser. Perhaps not my first choice if I can get something that has a great smell and taste as well as a great high. How long did you cure it?

ive jst finished the last of my hashplant and agree the taste wasnt all that but it hit nice, didnt top mine she grew to 3 and half foot and i got around 3 oz dry cured i think the taste were talkin about here is actual hashplant reminds me a bit of the black gold seal years ago the taste did mellow after a couple of weeks curing.A tall plant but very easy to grow loves nutes.Kushberry and Pineapple express next yayyy.

i am currently growing out this strain and i think i got more of the cannalope haze pheno. mine reaks of melons and tastes very strongly of eating cannalope, the high is very trippy and body numbing. i fimmed mine at week 2 and lst'd it heavily. i will agree though this is one of the fastest most vigorous growing strains i have seen; i also had a clone root within 4 days very easily.

my hph is about 8 weeks old and i am going to let it go for another week or until orange tinted buds. i love this strain and going to keep it in the archives for future grows.

Thought I should update. After a few more days in cure the taste has improved, still nothing to write home about but it is better. Im still up in the air whether I'll keep the strain in my grow or not. So I saved 1 clone just in case.

you should flower her for 10 - 11 weeks i got one 5 weeks in and shes a beauty topped and trained as the man said before me like a big juicy peice of cannalope lol and make sure you run them girls DRY before you cut em helps the drying process alot and you wont get teh generic homegrown clorophyll smell cause it seems like you might not let them rippen enough, dry enough and cure enough lol cause this stuff is DANK

I couldnt go that long my place got flooded w/ 2 feet of water, so I had to chop her and my entire flowering closet.

The taste issue isnt my drying/curing process. My other strains all taste as they should. The issue isnt a chlorophyll taste at all.

It doesnt really smell that much while growing. In my experience if it doesnt smell dank growing and then drying it wont after a cure either.

i am flowering mine for 10 weeks and just put it into the 3 day dark period.

even when i tried samples it was very cannalopey, maybe you didnt get a good pheno? how is the high from yours ink the world?

also, did yours start turning red near the end? this strain has a very high tendency to turn a deep dark burgundy color.

i don't mean any offense to you, but your plants in the pics look like their were over fert'd with phosphorus and look kinda stressed. but i could be wrong because HPH has a VERY high nutrient tolerance, I had a very hard time burning mine!

its too bad it didnt end up better for you, i wish you better luck and a long future of dank grows. :joint:

No offense taken man.

I still have some in my grow, rooted a couple clones this week.
I only had 1 seed, so Im guessing it's just the pheno I got. It didnt really smell much in the grow, especially side by side w/ my other genetics.

The high I like ALOT.

It was starting to get very red when I got flooded, Im positive a full flowering cycle will do much more justice.

The plant in the pic looks like ass for a couple reasons first being some light burn. I had switched to a 400 watt HPS and got a little close. A ventilated hood and an inline fan cured that.

The pic was shot using the HPS for the light source so some of tones in color are whacked.

LOL so true about the nutes, I pumped that thing and she took it fine.

Overall Im pretty happy w/ the strain, Ill give the next batch of clones more flowering time (we now live on the second floor no more floods)

that sucks about the flooding. where i live its been raining for the past week and one of my friends was like, "i have always wanted a waterfall on my property, but not in the basement."

I found this plant to be have super thin leaves: sativa but then again I just got one seed and took clones. show a pic later. But then again the clones vegging got a kick in the labia when my ventilation went off LOL... shitty day caught it early but, their back up and need to be repotted. Dig the hazy nuances in this plant and its hash and haze feel. Decent plant. Barneys Farm Sweet tooth would be a better plant if you're looking for something similar in so far as snowed out leaves, but if you're looking for that haze and hash taste this will do. Leaves get snowed for hash but have found better.

I doubt another's experience will help you much in determining your optimum chop date. I generally believe going a week too long is better than too short, especially if you've cloned and can expect a follow-up grow. Since you have 2 plants, you can do different dates and really see which is better afterwards. ;)
