Basic - Simple rolling tub for Dummies

So here's the problem. Tubs on the ground. Not acceptable. My tubs each have 8 holes in the bottom. Eventually I will be watering enough where it will be draining out the holes. I need something that will catch the runoff and be able to move it around as a whole. (I'm doing some breeding here)

Made this today and took pics along the way.

I'm not going to get into dimensions because all tubs are different. Just make sure you take your measurements from the bottom of the tub. Mine flares out a little at the top.

So I made a REAL basic frame out of the 2x4 pieces cut to the proper length.

The outside dimensions of the wood frame match the bottom dimensions of the tub.

Now we need some wheels. I found some from an old project and stole em.

There are 4 holes per wheel. I only used 2 of them because that's what I unscrewed. And yes, I reused the screws. Just find a good spot in the corners and start screwing. I simply used opposite holes. These are the two I used.

Three of the wheels went on fine. Little problem with the fourth. A knot. No problem. Just adjust the wheel around it.

And here it is. But not quite done yet.

more holes please 12 x half inch sounds good

I like to stick a sheet of spare insect mesh over the holes then the soil

so it don't run out, but yeah Wheels on my bins sounds good

but dude..that bin ain't that big, whats the volume here..?

you could try lifting it...?

just saying ..?

I like your setup much better than I thought,

do you use M_Fungi on those communal plants?

it would improve their networking tremendously

hence yield !!

I'd still the soil level up to within an inch of the rim

and why not now

"That You Got Wheels" ...lol

The point isn't the bin size brutha. I'm all into (The less I have to touch the better.) For instance. Take a look in my room. The exact 2'x3' tub is on the right side also with wheels. There are 11 plants in there all in 1 gallons. To feed I simply water, water, water, spin, water, water, water, spin and so on. I put a 3/4" hole in a bottom corner of the tub and shoved a 1" piece of plastic sprinkler riser in there, Added some silicone. Basic drain.

Nope never used M_Fungi. This is the start of a small breeding program. Not concerned about yield right now. The totes are only 10 gallons with 6 plants in each. I was thinking crowded conditions and lower soil levels might keep the plants (autos) under two feetish.
