i used a 3x pipe 2 8 into 6 inch coulpling because i have a 6 in can fan 6 self taping screws 2 eye loops with nut on them screw coulpling two pipe three screws two each side put eye hooks where you want chain put socket in with self taping screwshang light you can also use 3inch pipe with 6 inch into 4 inche if you have smaller fan i dont have fan in mine yet you can find all of this at homedepot for under 40.00 dollars
