I,m growing in an garage and the simpliest setup was going to be a grow tent .
WTF these things are 300 dollars and flimsy as hell not insulated at all.
So I came up with a plan to build my own for cheaper and make it better.
So a grow tent is made to take down quickly and be portable this i like so I incorporated this in my design. I also needed it to be well insulated since I<m in an garage. So here is the design and parts list .

2x2 firring strips
4-6 mil visqueen
house insulation for 2x4 walls
angle brackets
1 1/2 wood screws
1- 2x4
eye bolts the screw in type for wood

I didn't list quanities just a generic list to give you an idea plus it depends on how large or what dimension you want .4x4x8 is what worked for me and my space and how many plants I<m able to grow.

So the basic design consists of prebuilding the walls and ceiling in premade panels using the angle brackets to tie it all together then if you have to take it down u dont have to destroy it .Just break it down and stack it .

I first framed all the walls .Then cover one side with the visqueen using a staple gun and stretch it as tight as possible . Next lay in the insulation and staple into place.
Then cover the other side in visqueen. Be sure to stretch it tight this part is hard is hard because the insulation is thick . Be sure to frame in a door on one of the panels.

When you frame the ceiling use the 2x4 to run down the middle this will support your lights etc.I installed the eyebolts at this point what your gonna run decides how many and where.

Now get a friend for help and stand up your panels and use the angle brackets to tie it all together . To seal it all up I bought black duct tape to match the visqueen makes it look better ,Just run it across all your seams so its air, light, and bug tight.
I used 2- 4 in. duct couplings to make my intake exhaust ports , one in the ceiling and on down low on one of the walls. And of course u need some hinges and a way to lock it up . Use your own discretion for these parts I used what ever was cheapest.
My set up consists of a air cooled hood running a 250 w . hps/mh lamp . A 4 in inline fan to cool the light exhaust the room and pull through a carbon filter.

I,ll post more pics soon but here are some I took of my plants which show the room some. Hope this was helpful to somebody atleast !IMG00397-20100701-0909.jpgIMG00361-20100611-0836.jpgIMG00345-20100609-0821.jpgIMG00396-20100701-0908.jpgIMG00305-20100521-1918.jpgIMG00413-20100701-2116.jpgIMG00359-20100611-0834.jpg

thats cool if your climate controlled i,m in an garage and need the extra insulation especially in the winter.

Been awile on this thread for me.Wish I took more pics of the build to post for u guys looking back now. It's fall now and everything is working spot on. I recently made an upgrade to the enclosure . I split it so I would have a veg area . I LST everthing so that 7.5 ft of vertical height was going to waste. This is also giving me an area to preheat the air before it enters the flowering section.
Here's the pics I managed to take.

I have come up with a solution to have some heat without killing the electric bill. Last winter I bought a electric space heater , it's 1500w and added about 50 bucks to the monthly light bill . My solution was to take the heater and remove the 1500w element and run a line to an 250w heat lamp. This heater has an auto mode with a thermostat. So I can set the temp and it will cycle and not run all the time.It has been working very well at maintaining minimum temp.
