DIY "God Box" - 2 Low Rider Strawberry - First Grow

Hey guys this is my first grow op, and ive decided to go with a "god box" as my friend who helped me set it up calls it. I have 2 clones of a strawberry low rider which should stay short enough for teh growing container.

Currently I plan on using the Fox Farm nutrient Trio (Grow Big Hydro, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom) and am following the nute schedule that is on their website (http://foxfarmfertilizer.com/hydrofeed.pdf).

The first pic is of the "god box" itself. Its just 2 big plastic containers with one flipped on top of the other. There are 4 fans attached to the outside, 2 blowing air in and 2 pulling air out... which keeps my box about 77-81 F while running at 3/4 fan power.

The third and fourth pics are of the 2 clones i have, the first of the two pictures (the larger plant) was actually a clone that was clipped last night. The second, which I think looks like a Bonsia pot plant, is about a week old and roots have poked through the bottom of the rock wool cube. Both plants are in Lava Rock, as hydroton is unavailable where i live.

The 5th and 6th photos are of the resivior and lights respectively. I am running a 64 watt 2700k CFL with 2 23 watt full spectrum lights on either side of if to supplement and help with veg state. The resivoir contains 2 "bubble bars" from Petco with a 60 gph dual nozzel air pump.

Currently im in the "Cuttings and seedlings" stage in the growth chart from fox farm and am running it at full strength, PH balanced to about 6.1.

All that being said I was wondering if there is anything i overlooked? I think i have been pretty thorough in my preparation but i have been wrong many times before! I was also wondering how often do I water?

IM currently on a 18/6 light cycle and have a timer hooked up to a pump that waters for 15min to each plant through a 2gph nozzle once daily, is this enough?

I have heard on here and IRL that 2 times is daily for 15 min is perfect, but ive also heard i can go much higher...

Thanks for reading through! I'll be updating 1-2 times a week at least and any and all feedback is appreciated. Go go green thumb :leaf::-P:leaf:

Oh and should i buy a humidity meter? is it reall y worth worrying about on sucha small scale? thanks alot!

I changed the watering cycle from once a day to 15 min every 3 hours (technically every 2h 45min) . I also took them off the nutes thanks to some advice from a member on the Hydro board. Ill post pics late this weekend. Also the "bonsai" bud is looking a little yellow around the edges, but i think it has gotten better since i took them off the nutes.
Till next week....

I think the plants are starting to droop, im not sure what this is or if i should be worried but it dosent look too bad. If u guys have any idea throw me a rope! The other 2 pics are of just a couple of mids seeds i threw in pots and soil for sits and gigles about a week ago

Well its now the end of week two and i have some good and bad news. The bad news is that the "Droopy" clone died, but i salvaged to rockwool cube and transfered a plant that was in soil into it.

The Bonsai plant is looking extremely good and it actually looks like it topped itself!

Im doing a res change tomorrow, and I also added another 2 daylight spectrum 27 watt CFLS to increase my lights to 4x27 watt Daylight and 1x 64 watt bulb. The temps are around 81-85. Im also at about 1/3-1/2 nute strength switching to full strength by the end of next week i belive.

Temp is at 81 Deg F and PH in res is 6.23. Tis afternoon im doing a res change and the water will be about 5.8-6 and 1/2 nute strength off of the fox farm hydro nute schedual for week 3 (No additives)

Hey guys its about 24h after my last res change and i think im burning the little girls. i also changed my watering from every 5 hours for 15 min to every 3 for 15 min, which turned out to be a problem. I changed the watering to every 4h to help with the over watering possibility and i also added 3 galons of PH balanced water to the res lowering nute concentration to 1/3.... Here are the pics please help!

Help! theyve gotten a little worse even after doing what I did yesterday, also the PH is a little unstable and was wondering what you guys use for buffers?

Right now, the olny way im counteracting teh rising PH is massive amounts of aquarium grade PH down... but that is just a temp fix, what do u guys use as buffer solution for your res to help stabilize?
there are no light leaks to the res and no alge, its just a mix of the lava rock and nutes being drawn out that is messing with the PH(I think):confused:
+rep for help!kiss-ass

Bump-o for answer-o

I think that the lava rock is messing with the pH, you should have used hydroton

Gah i wish i did! unfortunately there is no where near where i am located at that sells hydroton and at the current moment i have no cash to order online and pay outrageous shipping costs so im pretty much stuck with the lava rock, or i can go to walmart this afternoon and buy perlite, since i have heard of people doing grows in 100% perlite... FUCK LAVA ROCKS... do you think that after a while it should even out and fix itself?

I think that if you are using lava rock you will have pH problems forever. I would wait and order hydroton online

Quick question. Where did u get lowryder strawberry? Not avail? And i thought autoflowers couldnt b cloned..
