DIY garden controller subforum

I propose that there be a DIY garden controller subforum for those of us who build and program our own electronics to make one place to share code/build information.

There, it would be easier for people to help one another with questions on coding/electronics control.

I posted some stuff in my grow journal, but it would be much better if there was a section dedicated to code/electronics/automated sensors related to growing, such as:

light timers
environmental monitoring
nutrient monitoring
PID (fuzzy logic)
remote monitoring/automation (we can't be in the garden all the time, wouldn't it be nice to know of a potential problem before it becomes a real PITA?)

The threads contained in this forum would be about code for gardens, electronics choice, and best practices for industrial automation including safety.

There are a lot of DIY threads on electronics, but not a lot about DIY safety (overtemp/overrun) especially when it comes to mains voltage switching which is different for a lot of countries (ie 220, 240, 120, 110vac).

This information is available on this site, but can be hard to find sometimes because it's buried on page 100/400 page thread in different subforums across the site.

There are a TON of knowledgeable people here, and more useful information than I could possibly hope to retain. Personalizing your grow space is the future, and sharing ideas is key to that.

Thanks for the quick reply sunni, I've been browsing that forum and there's a lot of good information there. It would be cool if there was a sticky or something of example code for timers and best practices to make reliable devices.
we would need someone to create one to make it a sticky.
users create the content, we dont assign people content, so its all based on users doing it :)
