^^^ Nice room Jointed.
I built my flower room from a shipping pallet.
Basically 4'x3' and maybe 5' tall.
8 plants on 10 cfl's at the time.
Small but it works and all but free to build.

1 Shipping palette.
Many stores have them sitting around for free.
Some 2x4's , paint and plywood I had to buy.
A little bit of thought and you can build a room very cheap.

DuroFoam is a good idea, I might actually do that tomorrow. Thanks!
It'll likely pay for itself in the first month, heating with space heaters can cost a fortune. I tried one and metered it at the beginning of this winter, after seeing what it was going to cost ($40/month + in hydro) I spent a whole weekend modifying a space above the door to my cold room to intake heat from the furnace, best time & effort I've put towards the new room, more or less free heating in winter, free air conditioning in summer. Once the vents were cut/installed into the furnace/air conditioning plenum, I put an Inline Fan in to suck it into the room, that's all it costs me now ($10/month if I run it 24/7, realistically more like $5/month) to heat/cool the room, priceless...

$100 to enclose a single plant? what a waste of money.

get some PVC or 2x2's, make a simple frame, and cover in dark cloth ($5 for 54'' x 36'' at joann's). you could do it even cheaper by using 6 mil black plastic sheeting folded over on itself.

to vent, buy a computer fan and a charger for half the price.

i'm sure you're very proud of your homemade and kitschy little contraption, but it can be done a lot cheaper and easier.
$100.00 is nothing anymore, it`t 1/4oz of weed... I smoke that in 3 days on average. Haha
That plant you see there will yield $800.00+ of bud and hash, so even if I were to just grow one, total expenses after purchasing all materials including seed, soil, nutrients, lighting and exhaust setups would only be $679.00 thats still $121.00 in profit... but I have a lot more plants.
I have 3 grow rooms, one is identical to the one pictured but a veg room. This room is for flowering only, but all but 1 plant is in veg. I have 6 more in the veg room, but I am only putting 1 aditional plant a month into flower. The third room the plants never leave from. They are grown from seed per the customers request in that room and are flowered in that same room. He buys all 4 plants typically, and wants them 100% organic. I just started those last week.
Post a pic or a link to your grow, even post your own designs. If you think you can do it better lets see it. Some pvc and fabric might work, but some people like having nice things that a box fan wont blow over..

Looks good man! How those lights working for you? I am thinking of putting one above my mother plant and saving money on running the 400w MH.
They work great, was getting almost an inch of growth a day until the mites got into my room. Had to lower the temp's down into the 60's to keep the little buggers from breeding. I think I've got them about whipped now though, but still nervous about bringing the temp's back up.

Would be kind of cool for a thread like this to continue where folks throw up their ideas/builds/examples. I've found most of my builds incorporate a piece of something I've seen/read/tweaked so it's great inspiration and triggers creativity having people post their builds/ideas...

Ha, nice, should keep some room for a few chickens, get some free nutes while you're at it ;)

I'm about 75% into my new room, been keeping pics as I go and will post the whole build when it's done, concentrating on finishing it before the ladies I have in my cabinet get to the flowering stage. It's a converted cold cellar which was being used to store crap so I'm putting it to more productive use. A little more elaborate than $100 but still won't cost me more than $1000 when I'm done but it's pimped out with custom electrical, raised floor, removable floor panels for future NFT/res holders, central air/heating, can't wait to fire it up in a few weeks!!

Also I found that a dryer sheet taped over the air inlet will cover even the scent of smoking pot in the room. I transplanted as well. Sorry I am on my phone, and its a pain to type and format on this thing. Ill edit it better tomorrow on the computer.

Peace :weed:

Nice looking plant, taking nice form. I like the idea of hanging the panel. For certain runs with fewer plants I'd been thinking about building something similar but was thinking of something that would sit on the floor, I think something like you made hanging down would be better in that there's no floor space used, nice...

I am doubling the size of my flower room. Pics to come at the end of the week. I am essentially going to install a single sheet of OSB extending out from the non door side.

Here's the grow shack I just threw together in a couple days, and all it cost me was one dollar and that was for the newspaper that I wadded up and shoved in between the joists. I know I could have used lots of things, but I was high and newspaper was stuck in my brain..:)

Thanks this isn't going to be permanent, just something I threw together so I have a place to flower out some ladies. Once the weather breaks I'll be gettin on with the chicken coop remodel, then I'll have more space and can handle a couple trees..lol
