DIY Carbon filter?

has anyone ever used a flat pleated type carbon filter before?

something like this?

i know there are options to high $$$ grow shop canisters, but i've never used any and if you guys have any suggestions i'm all ears.

I use cheap carbon pre-filters from walmart. I know if you look around on here there are some great DIY filter threads.

I use the same kind of filters and recommend them to everyone who DIY's their carbon scrubbers.
