Dividing room into veg & flower- will ventilation be okay?

I'm planning ahead for when I start my grow (12 pure sativas in 12/12 only, 6 once flower shows). Once Flower begins to show in a few weeks after germination, I will need to have a veg room for mother cuttings (I'll be keeping one small mother as a bonzai).

your going to need a fan in there or a secondary intake

wind will always go the path of least engery the thermal heat exchange in the mother room would not be enough to keep the temps in 80s ...not with a 250 and a t5 .......u might think about going to CFL and the t5 that should only raise it 10 degrees

Okay, I made it a smaller space & added an intake + a small 4" exhaust that will go out the ceiling (see main post).

-how's the design now?
-I'm guessing I have to have the exhaust fan exhaust the used air all the way outside, not just into an attic b/c that could cause problems, right?

if u have a intake fan blowing up and under the panada film the air pressure would move it into the main chamber and then u could use the orginal path u had planned

u just have to make the path for the air to fallow ....then adjust the blowing of the fans/intakes to make it fallow what u want ............think of the wind like water in a stream..this angle makes it roll and go this way that angle makes it flat and spread out like a waterfall

But what do you mean by the having the intake blow up & under? that the intake fan should be pointed upwards & to have an exhaust vent low on the panda film?

or should I have the intake fan just blow straight into the room so I won't have a 90 degree angle slowing down the airflow, and have the vent higher in the room so the air pressure blows out the air that has risen?

i would go with what u have and make the exhust vent about 4 inchs above the light socket that is where the warm air will be ........if u direct your intake yo do a vortex swril thing u will get the air turning so the warm air is forced next door and get a light breeze on the plant

if u deflect it all to the bottom like a water fall the co2 will natural build up at the lower lvl higher but the air in the exchange will be all up to your intake cfm

rem to add a back flow preventor on the exhust from mother into other chamber ....adviod the pressure back flow issuse.............as light blocker this would make a effect one .......and the intake on the mothor is a simple incase the intake fan (so act as a bug screen)......some ppl even go with a carbon filter on outside pulling in but they normally have a Co2 method set put
the fun part now is getting the pressure right

here is best advice i have at this time .........the inline boosters are quiet like a fan on medium or a AC on low ........the power adjusting things u see do not work on boosters ....they are ment for the inline fan(the power adjuster is how u make it lower ) .........u might need a muffler with inline fan...................finally booster fans can be combined with duct reducers (6 in line booster on amazon metal fan blades 240 cfm) combined with a 6 to 4 inch reducer duct...................................and fuck flanges use the silver metal duct tape u will thank me press all down go around outside with a lighter (pull or suck for any leaks) when u are done with it cut off

natural Co2 ...........there alot of studies about this

u want to keep the intake low..... low as u can infact the natural Co2 is one of the heaiver gases (if it was Co2/Oxygen and Water/Oil...... Co2 is water it is under the oil oxygen is oil just we walk around in alot more oil then water).......the best u are looking at getting is about 350ppm of Co2 from natural with the air flow u have to maintain.......it is why basement growers get bigger then skyscraping condos if tho they have more lights

ok. is there something else that booster fans are called? Because I can get a deal on some fans through my work, but I keep trying to search "fantech booster fan" but I only get one result on amazon.

Also, I'm assuming the hole for the intake fan will be the same size as the fan? (unlike the size of intake holes when using an exhaust fan, which is twice the area of the exhaust fan's diameter)

the ones on ebay are larger but they all seem to be plastic blades so the rpm have to be reduced .....i sawl one that claimed to be a 100cfm on ebay a 4 inch......but i think that this and the duct reducer

ok cool. last question- For a filter to put in the intake hole that the intake fan will be connected to, should I just get some sort of AC filter material/foam from home depot? It's a dusty environment outside my room so I want to make sure to filter out any crap.

ok u have several opitions

1 and possible best .......this is a pro model if u are going all out this it is ment for ppl to do what u want except u are using a booster instead of Fan in casing
2 and this is the method i current use ....is this the red neck jerry rig i have this u lose about 50% of the cfm using the filter...the bug screen u lose nothing

if u ever get big into dwc i just came up with a idea for a almost fully automated system ....in theroy it almost perfect ....just issue on the timing system for the plant

alls u would have to do is plug on of tthose montioring stations on the outside to keep eye on it and empty the water .....or i could do a filter system 50 gallons is alot
