distance from tip of plant to hps bulb??

One foot = 30.48 cm... Just hang a thermometer near the canopy and watch your temps. If that's not an option put your hand near the canopy - if it feels hot, move your light higher. Ventilation is always a must.

ya i would say about a foot or so i run a 400w hps and i keep the light about 18inc away from the tops of the plants if a foot seems still a little close then try 14 or 15 inc you should be fine.

I recommend 18-22 inches away from tip to bulb.

this is to far i just tested my 150 hps lux and it lost tremendously after 12 inches find a way to keep it cool or switch to a bigger bulb or cfl's close for that small of a hps
get a fan blowing on it if ya cant get a cooltube on the go, 12 to 4 inches are the mins and max for a 150 with 4 inch really neededing a cooltube or somthing. Start at 12 and move them in.

thanks for your help everyone, will be moving my light up just a few inches. Here is a picture of her in my closet, which is the hard part, the only ventilation it gets is when im able to open the door which is most always, and i do have a fan in there constantly blowing air around. the plant looks fairly healthy from what i can see, im just waiting patiently for the outcome cant wait to try some of my own.
