I am always looking for new products to make my life easier.

I came across a new automated trimming machine called Mean Green trimming Machine.

Whats really cool about this trimmer is it trims buds when they are dry !!!

Check out their youtube video ...

I called the guy who makes this machine. Real nice guy who is very passionate about his machine.

He just sent me some pics of a design update, now making them out of diamond plate.

I am going to be ordering one for sure !!!

how much? Im considering investing in one of these-well something similar. I only grow for myself-a couple plants a yr, but Im lazy and these look wayyyyyy batter than hand trimming

They cost $3500 which includes the vacuum.

I think it's really reasonably priced. Love the idea it trims when the buds are dry !!!

I dont think it's really that expensive at all.

A twister is like $15,000 and as great as a twister is, you can only trim immediately after you have cut your plants down. With this machine you could harvest a bunch at a time and when their dry, you could trim them at your own pace and leasure as compared to being under the time gun to trim as soon as your plants are cut down with the twister machine.

This is the first machine that successfully allows us to trim when the buds are dry. This machine gives us options.

Trimming dry does sound the best, it leaves one's options open.

Josh, the guy who has invented this machine, is really passionate about making a great quality build as well.

Just my opinion, but doesn't tumbling dry bud cause a lot of trics to break off? The dried trimmed but may look pretty and fast, but how much of the trics where knocked off?

I just received an email from the creater of this machine. He is now producing two sizes. The one on the video processes 3 lbs dry at one time, and the new size trims 1.5 lbs at the same time.

It just keeps getting better.

some of the posts on here are crazy :

anybody that thinks paying $3500 - $15000 for a trimming machine made from a few pieces of machine formed steel with a motor added,
has either been smoking too much skunk and lost all of their marbles, or has far too much money to spend, so give some to charity.

these bastards that produce and sell these machines are worse than the scum that puts class a drugs on the street.

i estimate one to be worth about $1100 tops. and that is being generous !!!!

a very good home made version is here on you tube :

Some of us couldn't do what we do without automated trimmers. For those of us who require them, doing one's homework to determine the best fit machine is all part of the due process.

I for one am releived and joyous that automated trimmers are avaliable. Big thank you, to the Mean Grean Trimming Machine and Twister manufacturing companies of the world !!!

You can't justify it for a small home grower but once you spend a month straight trimming everyday you'll be willing to spend anything to get the job done faster & with less back ache. We once ran two trimpro rotoer side by side for a month. At best we could process 10#'s a day (that's dry weight when cured) and still you'd have to do touch up trimming when done. So I'm very interested in a unit that I could do 25 or so #'s of dry weight in a day. Plus often you may have to chop & move your whole crop quickly so this would be a great tool in such case as well.

I think I'll give it a shot.

PS. when you invent something it takes a lot of time & money to develop a product. You can't fault someone for trying to make a few bucks. Until the Electric company will take good will for payment. I don't fault an innovator being rewarded for his hard work & effort. Without a reward we wouldn't have anyone making an effort.

Expensive and well worth it, the pound or two growers wont understand. They pay for themself after a few runs once you stop needing to pay 20 an hour to hired trimmers.
