Dirt & Such

I am looking for a good medium for an indoor soil grow. I am leaning more to the mixture holding water. Can anyone make any suggestions ?

I have experimented with

2/3 MG potting soil 1/3 sphagnum - Not to bad but I am afraid of timed released ferts haunting me down the road.

1/3 MG potting soil 1/3 sphagnum 1/3 top soil - More time release ferts and this mess dried out very quick.

I was going to try

2/3 MG organic veg pot soil and 1/3 sphagnum but I just read on the their site says "Natural fertilizers provide both quick- and slow-release feeding to get plants off to a fast start—and keep them growing"

Is there anything simple I can find at a small nursery, home depot, or lowes ? Does MG make good potting soil with out the time released fertilizers ?

you can get these tiny little cubes that absorb alot of water and the plant only takes what it needs so you only need to water it once, im not sure what they are called, look into it lol

Was that Canadian humor ? I am not shopping for magic cubes of sorts did you read the subject I need DIRT advice.

I dont believe the MG organic choice has any time released ferts, I could be wrong however, but im pretty sure.

Goodluck mate : )

their called moisture crystals... I bought a bottle the size of a pepsi bottle for 4 bucks at home depot... you only use a little bit though... I never listen to packages because what do they know their not even alive... so fuck them but they were right... I put in alot and than they sucked up watter and each crystal was the size of my pinky and the dirt spilled out... so only use what it says and than it makes watering slightly harder because you cant see what their doing... soy I just water when it starts looking thirsty...
