DinaFem White Cheese Auto CFL, My first grow

Hey!

This is my first time ever growing this wonderful plant. I got a freebie DinaFem White Cheese Auto from a friend and gave it a go. I have done a bit of research on the subject but have never really grown any plants so its a bit of a learning experience. I first set out not really knowing what I was doing and bought a 6500k 23-watt T5 from a hydro store, but soon realized that would simply not be enough. So I then went to the store and bought 3 8" clamp-lights with a Y-splitter in each one and I have 3x26 watt bulbs @ 2700k and 3x26 watt bulbs @ 6500k. I planted the seed straight into a 12" pot I got from home depot, forgot to look for the volume though. I have been giving it water about once every 3-4 days based on the knuckle test. I have been keeping a grow journal, before I found this site, so I will just start from day one and go from there. Hope you enjoy the read and I am glad I can share my experience of growing with other people!

You could give lessons to many here. Maybe you should give lessons to many here. Better posts if you post your pic directly using the pic frame 2 buttons to the right of the web link. Nice looking plant.

I am thinking it was being underwatered, any thoughts?

Day 28: 10.15.12
-Watered Plant last night @ about 11:30pm with 6.5pH
-plant looking much healthier
-more vertical growth

I changed my pots overflow pan setup last week, so I think that is why my plant is drying out much faster now (about 2 days now, about 3-4 days before). Has anyone else experienced this?

So I re-aranged my light set up a little bit because it was burning my leaves with the new growth. I also made a new foil "wrap" for my pot to contain the light better. This setup seems to deliver the light to the plant more efficiently. But after a rough couple of days this past weekend, it looks like the plant is rebounding very well.

Day 31: 10.18.12

-Watered plant in A.M. with pH ~6.5
-Lower injured leaves look like they are dying
-New growth looks very healthy

I have the same plant on day 20 in my journal if anyone is interested in checking it out. I came here for an idea of how mine will end but this looks like a dead end.
