Day 5

Both girls (fingers crossed) have grown quite a bit in the past 24 hours. The soil was very dry today, even a few inches down. So I watered again. Put a small fan in the tent on low, facing the wall. Temp sitting at 75.

Day 6

Both plants seem fine. I am dealing with a slight temperature issue. I've got my thermostat in my house set at 75, but the tent zipped up is running about 82-83. I have a fan blowing air straight out the vent hole on top of the tent. It's ok for this early veg stage, but will need some improvements as I get closer to flowering.

Day 10

Plants will not be watered today. I put 2 milk crates in the tent and put the pots on top of that. Without the crates, my girls were 28 inches from the light. Now that puts my girls about 18 inches from the light. I'm going to monitor throughout the day, but I think it should be fine.

I also plan to switch to an 18/6 lighting schedule in 4 days. I'm still running 24/0. That will give me 2 weeks of 24/0 lighting and I will probably go 2 weeks with 18/6 lighting. I will be ordering a second 300w LED for flowering.

Day 11

Mixed a 1/4 teaspoon of grow big with the watering this morning. They both are growing but I've got a few concerns with the leaves. It may be two unrelated issues with each plant or they are going through the same (probably more likely).

I'll post pictures of each

The big plant is green and healthy looking. But two of the largest leaves have a slight curl upwards.

The little plants largest leaves do not look very good at all but new growth seems healthy. Any thoughts or advice welcome.

Day 12

Pretty sure the curling of the biggest leaf on the big plant is due to light being only 17'' away. I'm going to move them back to 28'' away for tonight and see how they look in the morning.

Other than that, the bigger plant looks really healthy. The smaller one is a node 1/2 behind. 2 more days until I start 18/6 lighting.

Day 13

Curling is the same, it has not gotten worse or improved. So I put them back on the milk crates, 17'' away from the light. Decided to switch to 18/6 today instead of tomorrow. 6 hours of dark started at 2:00, so I may post an update later when the light comes back on. Excited to see the overnight growth, even if it's not much.

Ordered carbon filter with 6'' fan. Will be hooking that up sometime this coming week. Their is already a slight hint of skunk smell inside the tent.

Day 15

Plants were very perky this morning and even more so when the lights came back on this evening. They are 5'' and 4'' tall. About 16'' inches away from the light, but the tent temperature is around 72 and the canopy temperature is around 75. I'm very happy with their progress so far.

These seeds come from some recent smoke, so they may have came from an auto flowering mother? I hadn't really thought about that. I guess I will find out soon enough. I know that my seed purchases will be auto flowering feminized. I'll only be growing 2 plants in my tent, so I need at least 1 guaranteed plant hopefully 2.

Day 17

Carbon filter with inline duct fan arrived. The filter and fan are MUCH heavier than I thought. I set the filter and fan up inside the tent on the ground without any ducting. For now that has completely covered up the slight skunk aroma.

Will have to come up with some support Beams if I'm going to hang the carbon filter. For my 2 plant grow, I think I will be fine the way it is.

*Without the ducting, the temperature and humidity in the tent is obviously affected. Without the carbon filter I was running about 72 degrees and 45% humidity. With the carbon filter/fan running (without ducting) it becomes around 80 degrees and 40% humidity.

Day 18

I am holding off until this evening to water. Plants are still perky and healthy looking, so I don't think it will hurt to let the soil dry out some more. Couple thoughts for the day

1) I have 60'' of grow space. 15'' of that can be subtracted because of the light + distance between light and plant in flower. So I have 45'' to work with. Pot is 10'' tall. So my plant can stretch to 35'' tall. Plants have grown to almost 7'' now, so I may only make it another week before 12/12 starts.

2) Nodes are very tight on the larger plant. I'm very impressed. The only issue I can see if the first set of one blade leaves are touching the soil. I'm not going to remove them (until they die) but I don't see them lasting throughout the grow. They are green and healthy as of right now.

For anyone following along, here's an updated inventory list. Things have happened pretty quick, considering I didn't have any of this stuff 3 weeks ago.

4x2x5 grow tent
300watt led light (+ timer)
carbon filter w/ 4 inch fan and ducting
2 6'' clip on fans
2 9'' floor fans
2 3 gallon grow bags w/ bag seed

Day 19

Watered last night and came home today to them both standing 8'' tall. I have some of the first leaves touching the pot and the soil. I'm going to leave them til they die.

Was shooting for 28 days of veg, but I think 10-12'' tall is my limit with a 5ft tent. I want the main cola to be below the light the entire grow and not get closer than 10'' to it.

More growth, plants are 8.5'' and 9.0'' tall. I'm sticking to my 12'' max height before switching to 12/12. At this rate, they will only make it 3-4 more days.

Day 21

Quick update. Plants were roughly 10'' from the light this morning. Decided to remove the milk crates, which puts them about 20'' away from the light. I'm going to be gone the rest of the day, so I didn't want some more stretching to occur and possibly burn the canopy.

Day 22

Watered this morning (3/4 gal used with 1/2 tsp mixed in 1 gallon). Plants were a bit droopy, but both close to 10'' tall.

2nd plant was starting to lean quite a bit. It was strong and I think it would have been ok. But I got a small piece of string and tied the main stalk to one of the handles on the grow bag. I was able to get it to stand up perfectly straight.

I would expect to see them an inch taller and very perky by this evening. I'm happy with how this has progressed so far. I'm excited to start flowering, which could come as soon as Wednesday.
