Is there a big difference between the cheaper Hps bulbs and the incredibly expensive ones? If there is, what are the differences I would really like to know.

right now ive got this one High Tech Garden Supply

Would I notice a difference if I switched to sunmaster or some other high end brand even though mine produces more a few more lumens?
Thanks in advance guys :hump:

I wouldnt really know to be honest as this is my first hps grow ever.
I have no complaints about my 400 watt grolux dual spectrum bulb and i will be continuing to use this bulb in the future.:blsmoke:

i have an agromax mh and hps bulbs from high tech garden supply. theres three brands that they rate as good better and best. the grow bright i guess is the lowest rated at a mere "good". i want to try a son agro 430 watt for my next grow.

Some of the more expensive HPS bulbs have added blue to the spectrum!

you want a bulb with more blue for vegging and a bulb with more red for Flowering....

HPS = RED unless its like a Eye Hortilux Super Blue or a Philips Son Agro

MH = Blue spectrum......

I am using 2 x 430watt Philips Son Agro systems.... work great for veg....

If you are planning on using the 430watt Son Agro known that you DO NOT need a 430watt Ballast to run them they run great on a 400watt ballast....

I have a sunmaster 600 hps digital, no complaints here. HTG says it's the best light.
