diesel ryder from the joint doctor start 2/23/10

so today my beans came. ten regular diesel ryders, i dropped them in some water. tomorrow i'll put them in some paper towel.

The plan

i want to grow these 10 and seed them for future bigger grows possibly in our omega garden. I may keep one female unseeded just to see the dif

The set up

this will start out cheap. prob some cfls in my closet, i have bigger and better lights but for now they are in use with my og kush white widow purple goo and a mutt strain we are working on. eventualy they will be under a t5 4 bulb but for now ghetto style

I'm using a mix of ff ocean, light warrior, perlite, lime, and compost tea(thats the plan anyway) starting in party cups ending in one gallon pots

what I'm hoping to get

a huge bag of beans! dont care about the bud i'm after seeds this round

I'll update when i know how many germ and post pic when there is something to take pics of

so i got ahead of schedule and put them all in dirt last night at like 10pm this morning most had already pushed up out of the soil. these seeds are fast man

I'll post picks when they get out of the shell

btw my setup is two cfls hung from the clothes hanger pole in my closet.

Sorry I hope it's alright to comment on your grow?! I take it a lot of people don't like to have their grow log "spammed", so please let me know if it's not okay! What made you decide to grow the Diesel Ryder strain and not any of the other autos out there?

yeah for sure post away

well i got these because they stay pretty small, we may put them in the omega garden
and they a potent (so i hear)

but i may go with some thing else i like the look of the purple gems

and this wasnt my first choice i liked a dif strain for dutchbreed but you have to send them cash they dont take credit cards.

been super lazy but i repotted them a few days ago and took pics. they tripled in size since I'll get more pics in the next day or two.my omega comes out of storage too so i'll throw in some pics of that also, maybe not put together

nice, i've always wanted to give the auto diesels a try since i saw them in amseterdam a few years back, but have never really seen a grow on them or much in the way of a smoke report either, so im super stoked to see what you get out of these.. i've heard that the auto diesels are some of the best autos out there, but like i said, haven't heard much on the smoke or potency of them.. i will be sure to stop by often and see how they are doing.. they sound like they grow a lot fast, can't beat that..
just one ? for you if you don't mind.. what do they say is the time for these from seed to bud? thanks, and gl with the grows..

9 weeks seed to harvest

they have been a bit slow because they are all under 3 cfls i started taking them outside to get sun and they shot up like 3 or 4 times their size in a week

all but one have sexed 5 fem, 4 male, one ? my cat got to eat the two worst males

ok so this is the worst journal ever. i know.

so here are pics from a week or two ago. sorry had out of state visitors so not much posting time. i have repotted since the pics and they have gut buds. i'll post new pics later and the sweet thing i made to catch the pollen from the male i kept without it getting all my girls

oh and we fired up the cloner again 7 white widow 7 og kush (the elite cutting not the seed) and 6 purple goo

here is our pollen catcher

we took our male and topped it leaving the largest middle group of flowers tipped it upside down with a plastic cup under it and a paper towel taped to the cup and stem for ventilation. the cup catches the pollen. we have pollinated once but will do it again to be sure in 2-3 days
